My husband and I celebrated his birthday at La Andrea in NYC (it always falls on Valentine’s Day), and it was such a special experience from start to finish. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holiday, which made the evening feel even more festive and romantic.
The food was outstanding. My husband had the meatballs, which were incredibly light and flavorful, followed by the Gorgonzola gnocchi, rich, perfectly balanced, and full of depth. I ordered the grilled vegetables, which were cooked to perfection with so much flavor, and the truffle ravioli, which absolutely did not disappoint. You could truly taste that the pasta was freshly made.
Our server, Julio, was exceptional. He was attentive without being intrusive and helped me surprise my husband with a celebratory dessert, which made the night even more memorable. The rest of the staff was just as friendly and thoughtful, clearly paying attention to every detail.
From the ambiance to the food to the service, everything was wonderful. We had an amazing experience and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend for a special occasion, or honestly, any occasion.

The prosciutto appetizer was absolutely delicious and made us really excited for the meal, however, the overall experience was a little underwhelming, good, but didn't blow me away.

In two visits to Da Andrea, we experienced high quality and unobtrusive service delivered by a team of outstanding professionals and excellent food, with wonderful specials each night. The ambiance is great, with lighting and sound attenuation geared to a highly pleasant evening where you can have a conversation and be tended to in a manner that is solicitous but does not interfere with the evening. Aces in all respects. I will not that I live in a neighborhood with great restaurants, and this short 25 minute trip is totally worth it. A hidden (from me until now) gem.

We come to New York once a year and always have dinner here. This year it did not disappoint. A varied, well prepared menu with creative specials. A great wait staff knowledgeable on wine pairings and responsive to individual tastes. We'll be back again. This place is a winner!
