We went for dinner before a show and it was timely, delicious and fun. The piano player was great and the service friendly.

When they seated us the woman said something like the prices on the menu aren't updated which I found very unprofessional. So how do we know what price we're being charged until We get the bill. It was 100 degrees outside so maybe it was hard to cool it down but they had fans all over.

A friend and I had dinner and we were taking right away for our reservation. All of the staff was very delightful. The food was excellent. We shared the Insalata Di Arugula/Formaggi Di Capria which we liked a lot. The arugula was fresh and combined with the endive and goat cheese is really a great combination. The dressing was perfect and not too much. Then we also shared the Pappardelle Bolognese which is my favorite pasta. This was also very delightful. The sauce was excellent and we had a little Parmesan added. The pappardelle was slightly overcooked for me as I like true Al dente. For our last course, we shared the lamb chop special, which was truly amazing. It was cooked perfectly and with Rosemary, seasoning and laid on a spicy honey glaze. The combination was gorgeous. It came with a side of mashed potatoes mixed with either carrots or squash? Neither one of us was a big fan of that side dish. The decor of the restaurant is really interesting because it is a small narrow space which is typical in NYC however, the murals on the walls gave the illusion that the space was bigger and less claustrophobic, and very fun and artistic. If I had to criticize anything, it was a pretty warm day, and it seemed that the air conditioner was not working the best, so they had a lot of fans around to move the air which made it totally bearable. The weight staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Again, not a lot to criticize, but if there was one thing it would be that they brought out our pasta and main course at the same time. We did send back the main course to wait and I was a little concerned that we would get it back overcooked while they were keeping it warm, but that was not the case. It was perfect. For dessert we had cannoli and cappuccino. The cappuccino came strong and hot, big fan. And the cannolis were OK. I would totally recommend and definitely we're going back.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived We picked our table towards the back due to repairs on the ceiling were in progress in the front area . Service was good ,we ordered drinks and received our bread. Since we had a matinee to go to we told our waiter that we had to leave by a certain time We placed our orders and the food arrived quickly and was piping hot! We enjoyed everything from pasta pomadora, ravioli, lasagna and rigatoni with sausage . We were all pleased and cleaned our plates!! My only negative comment was the place which I've been to many times in the past needs some upgrades. It shows lots of wear and tear in the decor and ladies bathroom, which is decorated with lots of statues and waterfalls but had a really worn door with major damage inside.

This used to be one of my favorite NYC spots to go before a show. I don't know if they changed management or chefs or ownership or what, but it isn't as great as it once was. I'd say it's a B-/C+ sort of average spot to grab a bite.

The restaurant has an authentic look and feel real old school. The servers were friendly and the food was excellent. The chocolate infused fettuccine is a must try.

Superb meal and the attentiveness of the staff was excellent! Wish you had a higher rating to give this GEM!

We had good food in a crowded, hot, and noisy basement. The service was very good, and the mini cannoli for dessert were delicious.

Our waiter was fantastic. We had some food allergies in our group and he made sure he understood and a chef even came out to assure us that he had it handled. Food was fresh and delicious.

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. The meatballs were incredible and it is a very authentic Italian restaurant.

This has always been our favorite restaurant. I am not sure if the management or owners are different, but it no longer has the Italian restaurant vibe. My shrimp had an odd taste, like it was old or freezer burnt. I couldn't eat it. The restaurant wasn't busy at all but we could never track down a waiter to get a drink refill or even the check. I had to go to the bar to ask to pay so we could leave. So bummed, we always loved coming here when we can to the city.

This was not our favorite. The Spaghetti Vongole was largely without flavor and the tiny clams were overcooked. On the plus side, the penne a la vodka was quite good.

Great atmosphere and service. We returned after our first dinner 10 years previously, and were made to feel like family
