Date night with my girlfriend, made a reservation in advance on a Saturday night. When we arrived another couple who clearly stated no reservation was seated before us. The servers watching over water were very attentive, but the actual waiter ignored us for the first 30 minutes. When it finally came time to take the order, he was extremely rude. The food after ordering came out quickly. The cheese ravioli has practically no taste, and the meatballs were very dry. I will say the sauce was decent. The best tasting food of the whole night was the free fried dough. We chose this place based on the reviews, but in my experience they were wildly misleading.
Made a reservation for my birthday and when we arrived were promptly seated and attended to. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. And overall wonderful experience!
Everything I could have wished for on my first trip to little Italy, told them I was a sopranos fan and they even incorporated their memorabilia and facts into my visit, amazing food with huuuuuge portions, the lasagna was exceptional proper Italian New York with the most beautiful marinara sauce and the complimentary desert was beautiful best meal I've had on my trip to New York loved it
Our dining experience was amazing, the food was outstanding and service extremely professional.
Service and food were amazing! I had the fettuccine alfredo, and while the portion was a little small compared to our other dishes it was so good!
The food is excellent Note: ask which pastas are homemade as not all are. We arrived at 3:45 pm and were seated upstairs and the lighting is too harsh and bright. Service was less than stellar for the price you pay
This was our first time at this restaurant. It was recommended highly by friends. It was an amazing experience and not a tourist trap for Little Italy. We shared meatballs for an app which were delicious. I had the gnocchi which were to die for and my husband had the chicken scapariello which he found to be one of the best he's ever had. Loved the complimentary zeppoles that were fresh and light! The only slight negative was the service - our waiter never offered us bread and other tables were getting it. When I questioned it he made it right for us. He took our order and did not check on us as others did. But not a deal breaker. We will be back!
If you want good Italian food come here. The sauce on the chicken parm is unreal. Best meatballs I have ever had in my life this is coming from an Italian. Affordable pricing as well. Cannot reccomend enough!!
The quality of the food has changed since we were there 3 years ago. we would not recommend.
Food, service and ambience was outstanding! If you crave Thai food run to this place. Make sure you have a reservation. This is the best restaurant I have eaten in ages! I wish they were in Tampa, Fl

Excellent food. FYI still water is $9/bottle. That was a not so nice surprise but other than that it was excellent!

The rain was coming down hard — the kind that turns the streets into mirrors. We ducked into Da Nico and felt it right away. Warm air, soft light, the smell of garlic and bread. Comfort in motion.
Inside, it felt like family. Tables close, conversation steady, flowers and vines hanging low from the ceiling. On one wall, a painting of Tony and Pie-O-My. It made me smile to see it hanging there so proudly.
We ordered the truffle pizza, eggplant parmesan, grilled sausage and potato, and the egg and mozzarella hero. Every dish came out hot, bold, and generous. The kind of food made by people who season with instinct, not measurement. You taste the care — deep sauces, honest heat, and a crust watched closely in the oven.
The staff moved with pace and warmth. No performance, no pretense. Just people who take pride in feeding you well.
It felt like walking into someone’s home after a long trip — fed well, spoken to kindly, and sent back into the rain a little lighter than when you came in.
Da Nico isn’t trying to impress the modern diner. It’s keeping something alive — that spirit of food made by people who love what they do.

Another great meal here! The servers are wonderful and cater to your every need. The food is always fresh and plentiful portions. Caesar salad was excellent as was the pasta and the house specials. The only complaint is that the chicken Parmesan was a little overcooked and dry, nice touch serving complementary dessert. Third time here and definitely will be back.
Service was spectacular, the food was so amazing. Had a date night to remember. Thank you to the staff.
Good place, the service is very friendly, the food is amazing 😍
