Charming and intimate. Very comfortable atmosphere to have a conversation. Food was excellent.

Quiet gem of a restaurant. Authentic Italian food in a warm setting with friendly old school service. Menu is seasonal and varied. Good wine values as well.

Excellent evening for my large dinner party at Da Raffaele! The food was delicious, the ambience perfect and we absolutely loved meeting the owner & staff. Thank you for making us feel like family. Highly recommend this gem in midtown!

It is always a treat to dine at Da Raffaele. It is a small restaurant, and each diner is treated as a guest to be welcomed and appreciated. The food and service are both impeccable.

Walked in off the street, as Italian was what I was looking for.
Currently fighting the post-feast coma, but everything was fantastic!!

Bravo Raffaele! Great restaurateur and excellent food. We had the special he suggested to us the Duck Ragu pasta. Fantastic! See you this upcoming Monday again.

Wonderful meal. Everything was delicious from appetizer, pasta, and main. My wife had the soft shell crab special. Top notch!

Excellent food, very nice service. Prices were a bit high, particularly on the specials (where prices weren't revealed) and the portions weren't as large as they might have been. But overall a very nice place and we will return.

This is the most charming spot with authentic and delicious food. The owner is always there moving throughout and the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. A place that has neighborhood regulars and always some walk-ins as it is right near the U.N. Highly recommend!

Not as nice as last time we were there. Service was sketchy and the food was not as good as we remembered.

Deliscous food thoughtfully prepared by the chef owner and served with warm Italian hospitality and charm

We brought an out of town friend for his birthday. With only a few tables at the hour we were there the service was super attentive. The food and wine were delicious. There was an enthusiastic singing of Happy Birthday by the staff and another table which made the evening special. Kudos to Simon, our server, and the chef/owner who dropped by to say hello. A really nice experience! Thank you Raffaele Esposito and team!

My dining experience confirmed the reviews I carefully reviewed: the staff is friendly and attentive, the food is expertly prepared and absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed the ambience. I will be back and spreading the news!

Having lived in the South of Italy, I am picky in selecting New York restaurants: Da Rafaelle has become my go-to restaurant. How rare is it nowadays to see an owner (Rafaelle) cook himself and come out to greet his regulars. He combines southern Italian authenticity with consistent sophistication. My wife has many allergies and he is able to cook around those, and still produce excellence.
