It was our first time visiting New York and da Toscano came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint! One of the best meals we have had in a very long time, and the service was second to none! Thank you for a wonderful evening 😊

This is the second time I’ve been here and I will not be coming back because of our server last night. Terrible short and rude attitude. Took away my drink and didn’t even ask if I wanted another.

Five stars. Da Toscano is an absolute gem in the heart of Greenwich Village, a true destination for anyone who loves Italian food. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and sophisticated without being stuffy. The service is impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another diner.
But the real star of the show is, of course, the food. Every dish is a masterpiece of flavor and technique. The pastas are a must-try; the lamb neck agnolotti is a revelation, and the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe pesto is the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes in appreciation. The creativity on the menu is matched only by the flawless execution. Even the simple things, like their focaccia, are elevated to an art form.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an extraordinary meal, Da Toscano delivers on every front. It's a place where you can taste the passion and skill that goes into every plate. I've dined here multiple times, and each visit has been consistently exceptional. It is, without a doubt, one of the best Italian restaurants in New York City and a guaranteed five-star experience.

Da Toscano was an absolute delight! The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish we ordered exceeded expectations. On top of that, the staff was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. The combination of excellent service and outstanding food made for a wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Okay this spot is crazy good. The duck breast main with the plum sauce was my favorite. The pastas were amazing too. The black tagliatelle and the pappardelle were also very memorable. Gotta say that the quantities were great too, so you will be full. Super friendly staff too. A strong recommend for sure.

Food was great and somehow the service was even better! My friend and I ordered two pasta dishes to share as well as the chocolate cake. For the pastas, we got the tortellini with sunchoke, robiola, hazelnut, and balsamic as well as the fazzoletti with short rib and onion ragu. Both were incredible and fresh. The tortellini had an incredible amount of flavor, and the fazzoletti had so much short rib. Portion sizes were perfect. This includes the chocolate cake which I highly recommend.

Vibes were great! Super romantic, and it didn’t feel like everyone was on top of each other. We sat at the chefs counter, and it felt like we had enough space. We also saw a bunch of large groups sitting comfortably so seems good for larger parties as well.

The service was incredible from start to finish. It just felt like we never had to ask for anything, and we were well taken care of. We couldn’t finish the chocolate cake so we asked for it to be packed up in two boxes and they cut the piece diagonally!! So we both got the ganache on the outside.

All in all, 10/10. Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

There are so many Italian restaurants in New York and this is one of the best. The chefs wife is on the floor ,and has her finger on the restaurant for us,this is en par with Torissi and Lilia but less much pretentious

The flavors were great but almost all the food was too salty.

Great service, wonderful cocktails and fresh pastas. Don’t miss out on their baked oysters! The desserts were delicious plus the espresso martini was incredible! Probably one of the better espresso martinis I’ve had in a while! I’d highly recommend this place.

Exceptional. They outdo Misi and other well known spots on a number of dishes. Worth the visit.

I would honestly rank this top 3 among Italian restaurants in the city, the food the atmosphere the drinks, definitely top tier. Our server Chris made the experience even better with his outstanding service. Would definitely come back

Wow what a great meal. It's a pretty unassuming place from the outside and I walked in really knowing minimal about it and was truly impressed by every dish we got.

Started with the octopus carpaccio: such a beautiful dish. It was a little hard to eat with the bread but the sesame bread itself was delicious to eat alone.

Whipped ricotta toast with mushrooms: I love a good whipped ricotta toast and this one was huge. It had a sweeter glaze than I was expecting and I think maybe that could have been dialed down a bit.

Tagliatelle with crab: shocking amount of crab, delicious pasta, zesty.

Duck: the meat itself was great but the standouts were the sauces. Enjoyed the potato it came with too.

Tiramisu sundae: not a standard tiramisu and it really works. Very large portion and the flavoring is just right.

The service was delightful. The waitress was such a pleasant person and the other help staff were super attentive.

It was a skosh expensive, especially the drinks, but it was definitely worth the visit.

Exceptional. I walked in hoping to get a seat for 1 at the bar. They originally told me a two hour wait but I got a text not even an hour later saying my spot was ready.

From the moment I sat down the bartender was attentive, kind, and guided me through the menu. Every pasta sounded delicious but ultimately landed on the agnolotti. INCREDIBLE.

Also did the garlic butter stuffed chicken as an entree. Chefs kiss. So juicy and such a great blend of flavors, on the sweeter side which is interesting for chicken.

I didn’t love my espresso martini, but could have been because I was so full. All and all, a 10/10 experience and I will certainly be back.
