Da Toscano is great spot for a date night with someone you don't mind sharing your food with. Terrific Italian food in a warm intimate setting. Octopus carpaccio and Orecchiette were particularly good

I'd like to let people know that the pastas were abissmal and not worth the money or the hype. I found them over complicated and tasteless. The agnolotti stuffing tasted and had the texture of cat food. The other pasta dish, some rabbit ragu . . . was just boring. I'm surprised this place is still around.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city! You must order the focaccia and pappardelle!

Elevated food to an entirely new experience - the best I’ve ever had. We had the gem salad, then the ragu bolognese + tortellini. Entree: branzino. Finished it off with the “holiday cake” - apple flavored divinity. Truly incredible.

12/10 service and food. Can’t get duck anywhere else. Just doesn’t compare. And the oysters in crab butter are just unbelievable.

Loved our lunch during Covid times, and the Porchetta sandwich a month ago. Sadly expected much more for dinner. First of all, this must be one of the darkest rooms in the city. I could barely read the menu.

The Polenta Tortellini wasnt dipped in anything as the description promises. You have to dip it or pour all the ingredients over whoich come separately. An odd dish that wasnt good nor bad. Talking about odd, the PB&J Bombolone was probably the sweetest dish I ever had in a restaurant outside of dessert. The Foie Gras gets completely lost in there. I understand the desire for playful but this was a far cry from a regular foie gras terrine dish for the same price. Heck I'd even take a regular Bombolone from Sullivan st

The best dish by far was the clams pasta. The sungolds, sour beer, and a bit of heat was nicely balanced. Deep lasting flavors. Surprisingly easily beating the popular Agnolotti that felt like a very heavy one note that got boring fairly quickly.

The Octopus carpaccio is still good. Didnt trust them with dessert. Prices are that of a one Michelin. Really didnt match the experience. One extra star for the Porchetta.

I spontaneously walked in today, not knowing what to expect. It ended up being one of the best experiences I've had with Italian. The server's recommendations were on point and just right. The PB&J bombolone was interesting but the J was too strong for me so it overshadowed the main. Nonetheless, it was good. The tortellini was surprising way above my expecation and paired very well with the duck breast. That first bite of the duck breast with all the ingredients sent me. Everything harmonized so well and each bite tasted new in a good way. Look at the picture, it was a consumable art. The price for this quality in NYC is very fair. Simply astounding, I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes.

Been to da Toscano a handful of times and it’s absolutely delicious plus the service is exceptional from the hosts to the bartenders to the servers and other staff. My must try foods are the artichoke and agnolotti.
