This restaurant was closed when we arrived on time for our reservation. Why is Open Table taking reservations for a restaurant that is closed? We had to "dine" at a sandwich place in Manhattan so we could make the curtain at a theater. OPEN TABLE? NEVER AGAIN.

We needed a place near the theater and Dafni was perfectly located. We had a 5:45 reservation and our server made sure our food arrived quickly but we ate comfortably and were on time for a 7:00 curtain time. My chicken was perfectly cooked and delicious. We will surely return.

We dined an early lunch, so the place was quiet. Staff was great and accommodated my allergy to gluten. Lamb chops were delicious! More traditional Greek fare was only okay. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean. All in all a nice experience.
So excited to return to Dafni Greek Taverna, and it was just as fantastic as we remembered!! The food is excellent, lovely atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. Do not miss this hidden gem!! Can't wait to go back!!

Very Good service (constant refilling of water glasses)... A Nice selection of food (hot & cold starters, and many main courses. Wine a little high for 42nd Street. Do make reservation prior to theatre for this popular place.

Haven't been to Dafni's for almost 3 years so was nice to be there again. My meal was just as delicious as I remembered Dafni's food to be. Service just as friendly too. I wish them well and hope the summer will bring the crowds back.

If you like genuine Greek food, then you need to come here. The first time I stumbled in this place quite by accident. Now it's a destination place for me. Love the food and the service. Five stars, a rating I rarely give.

Very charming little neighborhood place. There was a group of men that made the place louder than it may normally be as they were all shouting over one another. Tried a glass of the Pinot Noir and it was surprisingly good for Greek wine! The food and service were good. I suppose it's personal preference but the tzatziki was a dill sauce, not the authentic garlicky cucumber yogurt that I've had at other Greek restaurants. Overall it was good and I would go back.

This was a regular stop for us before covid and our first time back. The food is still great, and the prices are still reasonable. Yes, they are a bit shorthanded on wait staff, but who isn't? Great location for pre-theater or for getting together for dinner and a glass of wine.

Perfect for pre-theater. Get there at 5, and you will enjoy top-notch Greek food in a low-noise environment. Starting at 6:30, the place fills up. Food still great, but more noise.

Decent Greek food but not at all outstanding. Moussaka mediocre, salads good, fish very good but served whole rather than filleted (some people prefer that but I don't). Prices are low for the theater district. Ambience OK. Very full and noisy the night we were there. Might return because of the price and availability on a night when I haven't been able to get a reservation elsewhere.

Always consistent in its food and wines. Just wish there was a way to muffle sound. This particular time it was exceptionally loud which interfered with our full enjoyment of our meal. And it seems we always have to look for waitstaff when we need them.

One of my go to places when I'm in that area. Food is delicious, the service is excellent, the ambience is warm and friendly. Prices are fairly reasonable as well. I would recommend this place for sure. It's lovely.
