Favorite newish Upper Westside restaurant. Great service, inventive, interesting and most important- tasty drinks. Wide variety of Mediterranean style choices. Restaurant Week is a terrific value. Enjoyable ambiance.

Restaurant menu was delicious and did not feel like chef was dialing it in, as can be the case with RW menus. Food was flavorful and fresh. The restaurant is lovely but is pretty noisy.

Top notch Israeli/Levantine fusion. Great flavor profile, friendly wait staff, good price point for ample portions.

Second visit to this UWS eatery. Definitely a go-to for a civil, comfortable dining room that's easy, quiet and well appointed. The menu appears small at first until you read through it a second time. My guest and I wanted a chatty relaxing, noshy, kind of meal without a lot of fuss. Dagon delivered. The fresh baked breads are amazing and smell so good. There are several types of spreads and ways to eat more than you should. Portions are generous but not overwhelming, coffee was great, the service was attentive and polite, they may have wanted us to move along but when they realized we were there for a good-friend, catch-up, they left us alone! Prices were fair, everything seems higher than in the past but it did not break the bank.

Do not sit in the upstairs area of the restaurant. The restaurant cannot control the thermostat and it was oppressively hot to the point where my kids got sick and we had to leave.

We had a great time. The food is fantastic per usual. We had a new waitress Talia and she is great. Super attentive, as to be expected from this establishment. I usually never comment on other establishments but i think Dagon is truly one of the best places to eat.

Really great food and overall experience. Only thing I would say is the waiter came around a little too often, and the portions were a bit smaller than expected. Ordered the latkes with salmon and the Israeli breakfast for 2 and it wasn't enough food.

Once again Dagon hits a home run. I brought 2 friends who had never been there for lunch and they fell in love too! Great food (go for the Mezze plate, Caesar Salad...Everything!). A warm, welcoming spot on a cold Manhattan day!

I'd been here a couple of times before, outside in warmer weather. Food has always been delicious, with a wonderful variety of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisine I'd hesitated to eat inside having heard that the noise level can get high and make it difficult to talk. But that was not an issue the winter night we recently went, and the restaurant was fairly full Overall a very fine evening of well prepared, creative dishes, unhurried service and good conversation with friends.

Dagon has become our favorite. We decided to start the New Year there. It was a right decision:next to great food Dagon is known for it is it's warm, welcoming atmosphere, that makes you feel at home . Outstanding is the TEAM of employees- everyone of them trying to make your evening special, joining you in explaining the Menus, guiding through the Dinner. With excellent dishes, in this friendly place, everyone was happy- It was a beautiful start of the year; no one will forget. Thank you, Dagon Happy New Year to you!

Although the food was good, the space doesn't really know what it wants to be. Really loud dance music, tile floor, unmemorable surroundings. Not a great vibe. Next time I will just order in from there.

We asked for a quiet table, which ended up putting us all the way in the back on the upper level, which was 85° as the temperature gauge indicated to us. a little too warm to eat. However, we managed, after shedding layers. we had the fried artichokes which were very greasy and I guess marinated before they were fried, which was not a taste I enjoyed And they were covered in a dipping sauce, which I would call a mayonnaise based aïoli maybe? And the raved about lamb was good. I wouldn't rave about it, but it was really good and the side salad we had which was the Israeli salad was fine.. that is why I gave the restaurant a good rating and not a great rating.

This was our first time at this restaurant. I was really hungry so we asked to put in an order for an appetizer before we decided on the main course. We were told they put everything in at one time and would not take the appetizer order. That was unusual and off putting. But we waited and ordered everything together. The appetizer was mediocre. It was a roasted tomato and sweet pepper dip with a small piece of bread. We also had flash fried artichokes, those were outstanding. Then I had the Sabich flatbread which was fine. I really wanted to love this restaurant but unfortunately it was a miss. It was a largely forgettable experience.

I love the food, but have to eat at 5 pm when they open, because by 6:30 the noise level is not "energetic," as the survey says, but getting difficult to hear. By 7 or later, the noise is painful to the ears, if your ears are sensitive like mine are.

Food was incredible, so many great flavor pairs! The staff was also super attentive and our waiter Kevin was very accommodating and friendly.
