Right next to Bloomingdales, this restaurant has a very unique layout. It has a long bar area with a few tables and has more tables on the opposite side of the hallway. The sushi was pretty good and fresh. I stuck with the standard rolls. Very good. The freshness comes through in the fish. It is a little pricey but it is Midtown Manhattan. Would come back.
Great sushi, okay drinks. There was a lot of good sushi rolls, especially the Black Forest with a delightful combo of savory sweet potato tempura and unagi. The drinks were only okay- the cucumber margarita had an interesting flavor, I think maybe it could use some balancing…? Really fine sushi and Japanese cuisine in a casual setting attached to Bloomingdales. I come here every time I shop! Here are photos of the grilled chicken, soft shell crab and sushi dishes. The service and cleanliness are impeccable.
