Was just in NYC and sad to see Danny's is closed - PERMANENTLY. Out of business and not re-opening.

Let's say you're near Times Square & you're hungry & you want food quick & cheap - Danny's! The made to order sandwiches & breakfasts are great. The pay by weight options are good, but be careful with noodles, rice & water-heavy fruit as they can add up quickly. I found myself routinely inhaling their full breakfast that came with a very generous portion of bacon. I always tipped the make to order staff. Washrooms & seating are located upstairs.

a great little spot for breakfast. The food is nice, we had the french toast and pancakes. Great coffee as well. Good customer service

Enjoyed breakfast here every day of my trip.

We stayed at the Hotel Edison and as part of our group/tour package, we got breakfast vouchers here each morning. The choices they have us were pretty significant and the food itself was decent. My kids and I always showed up a bit early and they still accommodated us. I think that if you waited till later, the rush came in and it might have been a bit more difficult to get your order in and out in a timely fashion.

Prices are reasonable, the fresh cooked food was awesome, and the staff was very friendly! A great alternative to Starbuck if you're looking for quick and affordable breakfasts while staying at one of the hotels around Times Square.

Original Zomato Review 3/16/14 - TIMES SQ HIDDEN SECRET. I added Danny's to Urbanspoon after a family trip to NYC because it offers a full range of eats for even the pickiest eater. From the street, Danny's looks like a small grocery store, but if you'll venture in, a hidden world emerges.

It's as typical as a Times Square deli can get. I can't complain about the food, but I also can't compliment it, it's just a very convenient place to get food especially if you work in the area. What I can compliment is the staff as they have good customer service skills.

Great variety of fresh deli sandwiches and nice hot and salad bar. Great prices for Times Square.

I've had better sandwiches at Arby's. Not impressed at all with the reuben. At noon on a cold rainy day they had no soups ready.

Pancakes are lovely, very reasonably priced and just off Time square

This is my absolute go-to lunch spot. I found this spot through meal pal and I come twice a week every week (for probably the last 3 months). I stick with their noodle bar where I LOVE their udon noodle soup and bimpap. It's the healthiest and freshest option near my office for lunch (and it's a reasonable price for the area). Is it 5-star dining? No. Is it the coolest spot in town? No. But if you work near here, give this deli a try! The staff is very kind and fast, there's a great variety of noodles (they also do stir fry which looks great and a speedy ramen I believe). I've brought friends before who say their sandwiches are amazing as well. AND they also have a self-serve bar with a whole bunch of foods that always look tempting, so if you're by Times Square and don't want a dirty water dog, this deli is for you!
