Super cute café! The famous jam on toast definitely lived up to the hype it was crispy and delicious. Their coffee was great too. I didn’t love my Mentaiko noodles as much; they were quite bland, and I could barely taste the Mentaiko. It was the least generous given I’ve had among all the Mentaiko pastas I’ve tried in NYC. Still, I loved the overall experience. The five stars are for the toast and the coffee!
Davelle is a cozy Japanese café and restaurant tucked in the Lower East Side, serving comfort food that feels like home. Their Japanese curry, toast, and coffee sets are delicious and beautifully presented. The interior is small but charming, giving off warm Tokyo café vibes. The staff is kind, soft-spoken, and attentive.
