It’s just alright
Nice coffee but price is misleading
Minimalist coffee shop on the UES with solid drinks.
Stumbled upon this spot after a long walk through the park. For coffee, they seemed to pull their espresso and pour-overs using beans from Onyx Coffee Lab (one of my favs), but after walking around outside, we weren't quite in the mood for a hot pour-over. We grabbed a peach fizz and a matcha latte instead, and both were solid.
The cafe is quite small, so it’s definitely not the kind of place where you can camp out with a laptop for a few hours. Also, there is no restroom inside. Still a great spot for a quick grab and go stop.

If you plan on working here for a couple of hours, just know that there’s no restroom 🙂
I thought that place was very nice.
The waitresses are young and nice.

An atmosphere that’s perfect for getting lost in a book or catching up with a friend.
Nice (although busy) place with good interior decoration. The staff are efficient and friendly, and they make great espresso drinks. Get a cappuccino to stay to experience the pleasing mug design and a free glass of seltzer.

They put a lot of love into every drink. I like the idea of supporting a local business rather than a huge, international chain. Great spot to stop by if you’re in the area. Nice seasonal drinks and flavors like lavender, maple, and fig, which you may not find elsewhere. They are mindful of the details, which I appreciate.

Coffee had great flavor, and the staff were very nice. Varied options for seating/standing. Great vibe for a snowy day.

I was walking through the Upper East Side and decided to pause for a brief respite when I discovered Dear Coffee. I am genuinely pleased that I chose to enter because this establishment is an exceptional find. The atmosphere made an immediate positive impression on me. It feels incredibly welcoming and possesses a clean, calm energy that serves as a perfect sanctuary from the bustling city noise outside.
The service was equally impressive. The staff were highly professional and courteous. They greeted me immediately upon entry and were patient while I reviewed the menu options. They assisted me in making a selection, which is a level of service I always appreciate. Regarding the coffee itself, it was truly outstanding. I ordered a latte and found it to be absolute perfection. It was smooth and rich, while the milk texture was velvety. It is evident that they prioritize the high quality of their beans and the craft of preparation.
It is rare to encounter a location that excels in every aspect, including atmosphere, service, and product, yet Dear Coffee certainly achieves this. I enjoyed my beverage while resting from my walk, but I could easily envision myself returning to sit and work or relax for a longer duration.

Quick stop for coffee after a visit to the Guggenheim. Latte came out good. Nice temperature, good amount of frothiness and beans have a great taste. The shop was busy, not much seating except for the bench by the counter. Pastries looked good. Maybe next time.

I was coming from Brooklyn to pick up my wife from work and they opened a little early just for me. This kind of hospitality is hard to find in and around nyc nowadays. A true breath of fresh air. I will be returning to try their other things!

their seasonal drinks are always great! Don’t be fooled by the posted menu prices on the wall, a seasonal latte will cost you almost $10
