Great bar. Had the operation to finally visit on Sunday when it wasn’t to busy. The drinks are great. The food menu looked decent as well. The only thing to say is the service was a little slow. The waiter did make great recommendations though.

Dear Irving Gramercy is an average cocktail bar at best, and the music levels are ridiculously loud. Very hard to hear others in your party, would strongly suggest they adjust this to maintain an enjoyable atmosphere.

Was #26 Best North American bar in 2022.Atmosphere 8/10Very dark but classy Ambiente inside. A bit too dark for my taste. To the point that it’s difficult to take decent pictures. So def not very “instagrammable” spot if that’s what you look for. There is a cool extra room with a 1920’s theme in the backDrinks 7/10To my surprise, the drinks on the menu didn’t look appealing. No vodka based drinks. But you can order a custom drink by describing your preference. Our cocktails were great. However - I wouldn’t know how to recommend or reorderService 10/10I love the concept that there is a service button, which you push when you need help. As cocktail bars go Dear Irving stands above the rest. Nestled in a converted townhouse the ambiance of the venue cannot be matched. The bartenders know what they are doing and the cocktails are unique. This is a great place to go with friends to relax. My bourbon drink had a peppery kick and was delicious.
Solid spot with a nice vibe, cocktails are decent.Cool spot, nice atmosphere & good service. The cocktails were OK but not excellent. Might come back and give it another try if I’m in the neighbourhood.Bonus points for it not being too loud, definitely able to carry a conversation without resorting to yelling at your pals.

Usually love this place but the host tonight was on some sort of a power trip. He treated my friends and I very poorly for arriving 2 minutes after our grace period even though I contacted them and told them I’d be running a little late. He berated me for emailing that I’d be late instead of texting (even though your reservation system encourages email and even includes the hyperlink), acted very put out by needing to seat us 120 seconds after our designated time, and intentionally put us at a bad table even though there was clearly space for us. He squeezed 3 of us in at a 2 person table and gave a party of 2 that came in after us a table with more space. I guess to teach us a lesson about tardiness? Not a great look for a white man to be treating 3 women of color this way.
