Really like this cafe with all the sunlight!!

Highly recommend the el barrio croissant, so yummy and the sauces were delicious. My honey oat milk latte was a little milk forward and not much of the honey flavor came out. Would try a cortado next time for less milk.

We were in the neighborhood on our evening walk when we stumbled upon Dear Mama. And can I just say: Dear Mama! The ambience was exquisite, the food - all day breakfast - was to die for, and the service by Leora was out of this world. She told us about the provenance and rich culinary history of all of the dishes especially the signature sauces and she hooked us up with the fresh chocolate chip cookies and the lavender muffin as well. The love of my life even wanted to run away with her, and she just had foot surgery. This place earns all the stars in the universe in my book, but Google only lets me provide five.

Dear Mama is one of those rare coffee shops that instantly makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. The space has such a warm, creative energy — great music, cozy seating, and that perfect mix of buzz and calm that makes it ideal for both catching up with friends or getting some work done.

But what really makes Dear Mama stand out is the people, especially Leora. She’s absolutely phenomenal — the kind of waitress who remembers your name, your order, and somehow always manages to brighten your day. Leora’s kindness feels completely genuine, and her attention to detail turns an ordinary coffee run into something special. She’s quick, friendly, and always makes sure your cup (and your mood) stays full.

The coffee itself is top-notch — smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. Their pastries and breakfast options are just as impressive (highly recommend the avocado toast or a croissant with your latte).

All in all, Dear Mama isn’t just a coffee shop — it’s an experience. And thanks to people like Leora, it’s one I’ll keep coming back to again and again.

We loveeeeeee Dear Mama! Absolute best coffee in the area, bar none. They even sold us an enormous bag of beans for our wedding because we used coffee as favors!

I love the iced cappuccino, and on days when I am craving something sweet, it’s the MCM all the way (extra spicy). The Julius salad is delish as is the new Tuna salad sandwich!

I will say though- they have the BEST lime daiquiri my wife and I have ever tasted. Seriously, we try them elsewhere and are always disappointed. So sample that sleeper hit.

Beautiful airy spacious space. Plenty of seating for laptops. Fantastic crafted coffee (gives me a Philz style vibe that NYC is missing). Excellent food options too (eg avocado toast was amazing) and even live music events.
