The food was amazing and the people who worked there were even better! Will be back for sure

Opentable Diner

This was a really miserable experience. Our first clue should've been when the waiter warned us from ordering the sampler plate because “the pita bread was really not good“. We ordered cocktails they came out syrupy and barely alcoholic. We ordered two burgers and a fried chicken burger.. they got the order wrong and instead of fried chicken we got short ribs hash with harissa and it was terrible. It was like eating overcooked potpourri. The burgers were also terrible. The whole experience was miserable and then the poor waitress had to beg for a review afterward this is a hard pass and strongly recommend you avoid it.

Overall amazing experience!! Definitely recommend for a romantic date with some of the best food in town! Service is spot on and very friendly. Definitely will be coming back

For a Saturday night it was very very quiet. We were one of 2-3 diners. They put us at a booth table tucked at the back. I was amazed by how much space there was. Service was great and food quality was very good. Prices were a little high I thought for what it was. Nonetheless a good experience and we had 3 young kids.

Really nice for happy hour. Prices are higher than they need to be for what you get, but a nice spot overall. Great service

We had tickets to the Shed and went here before—they placed us in a secluded booth and we asked them to turn the music down so it was nice and quiet. There were 6 of us and my mother is somewhat hard of hearing so this was amazing. The food was delicious. We had several dishes on the menu and everyone raved about their food. They read the note in my reservation and brought my daughter a cool candle in her dessert. The service was very attentive. The wine was a little pricey but overall the experience made up for it and I highly recommend!

Way too overpriced mediocre food. It was ok but not for what we paid. Plus there are so many better Greek places in the neighborhood. Also beware they close at 8 pm on Sundays- we made a reservation for 7 and they were mopping the floors while we waited for food and had to eat fast.

Made a reservation for 7 and they closed at 8 so were mopping the floors while we ate. Wished we'd know. Food was really expensive and not that great. We got pita and dips, octopus, steak skewers, and mousaka and all were bland. Wouldn't go back.

Good food, great drinks, and excellent service. I do not recall the bartender’s name but he was a class act. Will be back.
Side-note: not a bad spot to bring a date ?

Service and ambiance was very nice. Ordered calamari and by the time it got to me it was cold. Other things on menu seemed better.

My wife and I came here on a Saturday night around 9:30p after leaving another nearby bar that was just too loud for us (we're not the crazy club/loud bar party types). We met up with another couple we've known for a long time.

Death Ave was extremely accommodating to us. We were seated in a private booth with curtains, the service was fantastic, and both the drinks + desserts were phenomenal.

Bravo and well done -- we've also ordered on delivery from here before and it is excellent. We'll be back for sure!

Great ambiance as we had our own little area, super comfortable. But this should not be listed as only $$ on OpenTable. Very pricey. Even in NYC, $34 for an omelette is just too high. Fries were cold. $36 "shared spread" was four tiny dishes of dips with some bread. Just too expensive. If it had been touted as even $$$, we'd have been better warned.
