There are multiple areas for dining in. The first floor has a bar, booths, and tables of various sizes. The second floor has similar seating and an area for private seating. As a party of one, I ate my dinner at the bar on the second floor. My compliments to Jose. The 16 oz. strip steak was the best I have had. The asparagus was tender and seasoned appropriately.I will be back again.

The dry aged steak is worth the dime as the flavor and texture are sublime. As are the desserts and sides; many times they are too sweet or heavy and ruin the experience. Everyone in the party enjoyed their selections.
Delicious bread. Filet was flavorful and cooked perfectly. If you have room for dessert, the butter cake is worth it.

Nothing special. Had a porterhouse and wife had a filet. Side: broccolini and mashed potatoes. Best thing was the mashed potatoes. Dessert: butter cake which was really good. $300 for all that. Great is rare and you are paying high because it’s Manhattan.

Due to an unfortunate incident with the door staff my 14 year old son was singled out while walking into the restaurant for a dress code violation. He did not look bad but his pants apparently did not adhere to the code. While he was detained outside we saw several young women walk in with similar pants on, which we called out to the door staff and they ignored. The manager was called out and she denied us entry. With numerous other options to eat in this city we made it work but our reservation was made with no mention of a dress code. If you have a dress code it needs to be enforced across the board and not via gender, race, nationality, age, or religion.Kid-friendliness: Not at all
Rating: ⭐Review:I am deeply disappointed by the discriminatory treatment my family received at Del Frisco’s. While I understand the concept of adherence to the dress code, my 14-year-old son was singled out while several young women in similar attire were allowed entry. This biased enforcement is unacceptable, especially on a busy Saturday night in Midtown Manhattan with no back up for dinner. After the manager was called out she still reinforced the treatment of my son by the door staff while others in similar dress were allowed entry. Respect for dress code rules should apply to all patrons equally. Unfortunately, this experience tarnished our perception of the establishment, and we will definitely not be back given the vast selection of steak houses in the city. Do better.

Steak was perfectly cooked. Medium Rare. The tuna tartare was delicious. The sides were okay. Great wine selection. The Del Frisco’s Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite. Just didn’t like how the waiter poured the wine, I personally do not like when red wine is on a white table cloth. I felt the service at the bar was a lot better while we were waiting for our table to be ready. Waiter seemed overwhelmed. We were in the cellar level, maybe that’s why. I guess try to get a table on the ground level.

This place is a MUST VISIT!! If you are in NYC. My Vegan mother-in-law was giving me the stink eye the whole way over because of my birthday dinner choice. I laughed. However for the first time in my (and probably her) life, she apologised and said that she never expected a steakhouse to be so accommodating to her dining preference. The crab cake was a home run, the servers that brought out our food didn’t only describe it, they actually served out the sides !!! The cauliflower “steak” was as my new mum put it “vegan heaven”. I don’t know what that means but I think she liked it !Ribeye was cooked the way it should be : Medium. Most places don’t know what that means, but at Del Frisco’s they nailed it. The manager came to the table and asked how we were doing with a smile and what I originally mistook for swagger. I don’t remember his name but I know he had an orthopaedic shoe on. Hence the mistake :) . Definitely will be back.
