Used to be a bartender here named Steve, legend of a bartender. These punks they have working here now are disgraceful. Irish girl working there now is about the trashiest thing to walk down Park Ave. None of them have a clue what they're doing and know about 5 other regulars that feel the same.

You like taverns or dives this is the right spot, refreshing for the area, so if your looking for something cheap and no frills in the city this is the spot. Very Irish lol, lots of tvs with sports and everything you'd expect from a tavern, cheap drinks, accents a few old men and few young chicks.

Golden Tee Golf; happy hour special; live music; buy backs; classic NYC bar.

I visited Desmond's Tavern today (on my birthday) and had the worst experience I've ever had in any customer service. The bartender was extremely unprofessional and rude and refused to serve us. I just wanted one drink on my birthday. Do not come here.

Love the impossible burger! And the Coleman's mustard!

The (Irish girl) bartender was absolutely condescending and rude, and does not belong in customer service. There are plenty of bars in NYC where customer service is much better.

One of the best dive bars that still have that old manhattan feel. I came in out of curiosity and now a happy regular. Jen who works the day shift is a sweetheart. Mo and Jodie are my fav sat duel who keeps up with the fast pace of the crowd who are there for the bands that play or not. Its a no frills bar but they can still nake you one mean good cocktail as long as you know what are the actually ingredients. Also the wings are great and you can't beat the price of their weekday lunch special.

Cool neighborhood bar.. Fun place to play a gig

I think that everyone who gave this place a 1 should come for a reunion. Get together and order water and the normal things you order in a bar! The whole point of a dive bar other than low prices is friendly low key bartenders who are good people and make you feel like you are part of a community: not the case here... I went there on three occasions with a friend who was a regular. The first time the game was blasting so loud for an empty bar and when asked to turn it down the bartender refused. The food was worse than fast food. The third time the blonde waitress was so rude and mean to people and basically didn't want to work and waited to be asked three times for an order that I swore never to step in the place again and there is no need to because there are so many better options around! One musician review said they were denied water while playing a gig that was not even paid. I think you are better off buying a beer and drinking in in the bus station.. it may be cleaner and classier. The cost of low prices here is not worth the awful experience.
