A great informal place for bocadillos, cafe, perhaps a dessert.

The pintxos were okay, but the flan tasted bland and the basque cheesecake was too cheesy - definitely not a true basque cheesecake. Also the tinned fish are way over priced. I lived in Spain the spanish grocery stores sold these similar/same tinned fish for a few dollars (and tasted better). At this store, they sold their tinned fish for $28+!! That is such a rip-off and, frankly, taking advantage of the customer. These price are egregious.

We had the most amazing experience here. Although arriving without a reservation our amazing waitress accommodated us and provided us such a wonderful time being here. The food was so good. Service was exceptional. We look forward to returning again.

The quality justifies what they charge on the menu. Employees deliver service that's both quick and respectful. The servings fill you up without emptying your wallet. The sweet options justified my usual dessert focus. The bill is higher than normal but fair for the experience.

Great place to stop for lunch or specialty imported items. The Despana sandwich with goat cheese is heavenly 🤩
*skip the flan, it’s not great, go for the cheesecake instead.

A taste of Spain in SoHo. Nice, knowledgeable staff, good reasonably priced tapas. You won’t go wrong.

Outstanding menu. The staff's timely service improved our experience. Despaña offers fair costs and doesn't skimp on vegetable servings. I enjoyed everything about my visit. What a great spot I discovered!

I did the DeNoche dinner last night with 3 other people and we had a blast picking the tinned fish we wanted and enjoying the way they plated our selections with perfectly toasted bread and creamy butter. We got some pinxtos and the Caesar salad to round it all out and washed it down with crisp Albariño. Thanks to Paula for being a fabulous host!
