Excellent food and lovely atmosphere. A quaint neighborhood restaurant worth the trip if you live farther away.
Well done as always. Service attentive with first-rate food. A bit tight in seating but ambiance excellent. Always consistent & fine neighborhood location.
Never knew which server was ours. Really long wait time for plates to be cleared and to order our food. Food was okay. We originally booked because they didn't have a Valentine's Day pre fix, but I got a call 3 days before saying they changed and it would be $100 a person. I wouldn't have agreed but at that time I don't think I would have gotten another reservation elsewhere on Vday
Nicely decorated space. Given a pre fixe menu and no other option. Should have been notified of pre fixe menu at the time of reservation confirmation! Wait staff were attentive.
This is truly a neighborhood gem and we are so happy to finally discover it after walking by one day. The food is very authentic and the menu had just about all of our favorites! The house wines by the bottle and glass were a good selection and very good value. The service was also very attentive and warm. We cannot wait to go back to try more of the menu!

My wife and I recently discovered Deux Amis, and it instantly became a favorite of ours. This charming French restaurant has a cozy, inviting atmosphere with classic French decor that made us feel right at home.
We started with the escargot, which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. For our main dishes, I went with the boeuf bourguignon, which was rich, tender, and full of flavor, while my wife thoroughly enjoyed the coq au vin. Both dishes were fantastic, especially when paired with a glass of Bordeaux.
To finish off the evening, we shared the tarte fine aux pommes. The dessert was light, flaky, and just the right amount of sweet — a perfect ending to a great meal. The staff were warm and friendly, making the entire experience even more delightful.
If you're in the mood for authentic French cuisine in a cozy setting, we highly recommend Deux Amis.

Not a French restaurant by any standard except the name. This place is a disgrace to genuine French restaurants and cuisines. Avoid this ripoff!

I’ve been dining here since it opened years ago when I lived around the corner. Last night, diners around us were also relating how they became loyal customers while living in the neighborhood. The food is very good, the service if professional, and the prices are quite reasonable. It always makes a pleasant night out for good food.

My absolute favorite French bistro in NYC! Everything is perfect here.
We were in NYC for four days while I was taking my HS son to tour two Design Colleges. I also took my 10 year old daughter since my wife was out of the country. In Florida there may be French restaurants but who knows where? Hahaha, but we do come to NYC every year. And did I wear long pants, slacks and a sport coat! NOT a t- shirt and shorts and sandals!
The place itself is similar to a Paris bistro, small, intimate and warm decor.
The three of us had dinner and this is what we ordered. We had a cream soup that was a today special, lots of these little mini french breads, and two orders of Escargot, then for the main courses Poulet Roti for my little girl, the Bronzini for my son and I had the Le Veau with garlic mashed instead of the Risotto, plus a glass of a very fine Merlot.
My children always want dessert so they ordered Creme Carmel and I think Raspberry Napoleon. The entire meal was quite good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. My son selected this venue and I'm happy he did. I recommend Deux Amis, we paid about $230 for the three of us plus tip, money well spent.
Kid-friendliness: I had the only children that night, and my children know how to behave.
