Beautiful coffee shop with pleasant atmosphere and seating
My favorite cafe in Manhattan! They have multiple locations but this is by far the best. Their banana bread is absolutely delicious and their coffee is unbeatable. I came in feeling down but their employees are so kind and welcoming, it lifted my mood instantly. Could not recommend it enough!

Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only.
I’m so grateful that you serve coffee in real, reusable mugs, upon request. But I wonder if you would make more effort to clearly ask customers if they are staying to enjoy their drink or if they are taking it to go.
By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And almost 95% of the plastic that we produce and consume does not get recycled, but rather ends up in landfills, incinerators, or waterways, ultimately breaking down into microplastics that leach chemicals into our bodies.
While you have awesome reusable options, it seems that at least half of the patrons enjoying their drink to stay either were not aware of them, or don’t know to ask. Also, if I am to infer by the presence of reusable mugs and trays to collect them, I would bet you have the ability to wash water cups as well. Perhaps you could stop serving the single use plastic cups at the water station, as well? Instead, just offer real glasses or cups?
This seems like an easily solved problem. Perhaps you could communicate more clearly at the counter, or promote reusables on social. But there’s no reason to see this much single use plastic trash piling up in the receptacles, clearly from people who stayed to finish their drink.
Thank you for considering how to help your customers create less plastic, and work toward a healthier in New York City and world at large.

Good latte and ambiance but what kind of cafe has absolutely no outlets? -2 stars for that (unable to charge laptop if working here) Also seating is hard to come by in the morning hours and shop is quite crowded/noisy throughout the day
