Good food. But service and experience were weird. First - nearly empty restaurant but they put me (alone) right near front door where there is a ton of Uber Eats, etc. delivery traffic. Uncomfortable and distracting - so I eventually asked to be moved. They did. Then a "service dog" (Pomeranian) barked (yapped) for most of the meal. Loud. Researched it - guess they can't really do anything. I'm sure that was not a service dog - they lied. That's the customers' fault, but they didn't manage it at all. (Which they can legally.) Had lots of leftovers. They said they could bring me containers. HUGE PET PEEVE from the pandemic. They want me to do their work and put food into containers. I'd rather go serve myself a drink or get my food in the back or even take other people's orders. Restaurants better stop this! It's hugely irritating. So I asked if they could do it. Yes, but... like a big FU they did it - but right at my table while I was trying to finish my drink. Horrible. She said it was "busy in the back." Yeah. You'll be less busy in the front with policies like that. So I won't be coming back. And I warn you. Too many great Indian places right nearby. It's not cheap and I don't want to pay almost $80 to be tortured.

If you're in NYC and craving Indian cuisine, Dhaba is a fantastic choice. The prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. I particularly enjoyed the paneer pakora—it was incredibly tasty. What stood out was their variety of options beyond the typical offerings at Indian restaurants. The only minor issue for me was the bright red color of the paneer sabzi and dal we ordered. I'm unsure if it was food coloring or something else, but it didn't affect the taste, so it's easy to overlook. Overall, I loved it and would definitely return if I find myself in the city craving Indian food again.

I went got weekend lunch buffet which runs from 11-3pm for 19.99. It runs on the weekdays for cheaper. I got there at aproximately 1pm at the place was basically packed. Im so happy the ayce indian buffet has returned since disappearing since Covid. The ambiance of the place is very cozy and intimate with the low ambient light even in daytime which i thought was weird. The food was very fresh because of the high turnover of customers. The nann was also very rich with butter and served pipping hot to order. The tandoori chicken was a highlight even tho it was limited to one serving wish it was more. The butter chicken was smooth tender and flavorful. Loved the saang paneer it was buttery and creamy The chicken briyani was well seasoned Another poppular highlight was samosa chaat which was refilled constantly since it was so popular. Dessert the rice pudding was perfect not overly sweet and was perfect texture. Because its cramped it could be challenging to get food in limited space. The service was a litttle slow because it was crowded and it took a good amount of time to get our check.

I tried buffet. It was alright. They add a lot of food colors. I think dishes have more food color than the veggies and other things. It paints your insides with colors, for multiple days. Not sure if the dish with spinach was just food colors with cream OR if it was actually spinach.Food was not great, not terrible.

Tried this place yesterday with my friend. Its my first time to have an Indian food The place has great setting, nice decor that feels like dining in India. Dim lights were great. We ordered some food to try, we had the Samosa, Saag Paneer and Basmati Rice were good. It has a different yet unique flavor. It was not on my like but so far so good. Prices were ok.

I’m a 1.5 generation Indian immigrant, and can tell you this is THE spot to go to in Manhattan for genuine Indian food.By far and away, I’ve found Dhaba as the most consistent in quality of food and vibe. They also have the most variety of food I’ve seen, even amongst the Lexington Ave restaurants. If you dine in, it’s worth looking at their chef’s special menu, as well. Also, Good management from top to bottom.

An amazingly simple yet authentically created menu that is served with a equal sincerity. The food we opted here this time was vegetarian coz one of the guests preferred veg. I must say, the food was amazingly authentic and true to it's flavours. The restaurant should be slightly more lit-up.
