The food was amazing, I loved it so much. The service was pretty bad, but the food completely made up for it.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Colette Rossant who launched this establishment in 2000, she was an incredible woman who lived a full, fascinating life which she documented in her writing. Colette brought me to Dim Sum Go Go some time in the 2010s and I have returned many times in honor of her. It is delicious! You really can't go wrong when you order here.

First of all, I really appreciate the staff going out to put down ice-melt in front of the store when it starts snowing. We arrived just after it started blowing snow and they were out there making sure the sidewalk was safe. I also really appreciated the staff allowing me to put my luggage by the front desk, those small accommodations make a difference in this fast-moving city. The food is excellent as I remember, its nice to come back to a place after COVID and see the same old quality. The service is incredibly fast, they whisk away empty plates before you can put your chop sticks down. A great experience overall, and nice to see that Dim Sum Go Go is how I remember it!

Dim Sum Go Go is a fantastic find, especially considering its reputation as a budget-friendly Michelin-recommended spot. The food quality is exceptional and absolutely lives up to the hype.
The standout of the meal was the seafood and meat platter - the colors and shapes were stunning, but the taste was even better. Anything involving the shrimp was simply incredible. We also tried the duck spring rolls, pork soup dumplings, and the Malaysian buns for dessert, all of which were great.
A few crucial tips for your visit:
Book ahead: The restaurant is very busy, and seating is quite limited inside.
Consider Delivery: Because the dining area is small, they seem to prioritize deliveries, so thatâs a solid option if you can't get a table.
Must-Order: If you go, the platter is a must - it's a showstopper both visually and in flavor.
Overall, this is a top-tier recommendation for anyone looking for high-quality dim sum that won't break the bank.
Very touristy - we didnât see any locals during our weekday lunch - but the food was surprisingly good and authentic.
My top recommendations for food:
- Shrimp rice rolls (honestly, any of the rice rolls are a safe bet)
- Beef tripe with black pepper sauce
- Chicken feet with black bean sauce (they were especially tender)
- Bean curd skin with pork
Classic:
- Turnip cake
One-and-done (worth trying once, but wouldnât reorder):
- Crispy tofu stuffed with shrimp (even the table next to us left it unfinished)
Knocking off a star because:
- Prices are relatively high compared to other dim sum spots
- Tea is served by default and charged, which feels like you're hit with a table fee
On the plus side, they accept cards, which is convenient if you donât carry cash.

The service was terrible and the foods were overpriced. They kicked us out before we even finished eating and they want us to paid the check. The place is also small too.

We went there with a group of 10 for lunch and enjoyed great food and great service. The restaurant is simple in setup which gives it its charm. Definitely something to consider when you want good food and fast service.

Fast, helpful service and plenty of food for the price. Our table filled up quickly with steamer baskets, and it was easy to order for a mixed group. There was good variety of vegetarian and meat options.
The space is tight and gets busy, and Iâm not sure how to explain it other than it felt it catered or drew in a more Americanized crowd. The food wasnât bad by any means but nothing really stood out either. Not my first choice for dim sum, but a fine option if youâre already in the area.

I probably come here every time I am in the city. I recommend it to everyone. Just go here for dim sum from now on, no lines and the food is better. Love the braised little ribs, duck dumplings, turnip cakes.
