It's nice that they're friendly and open late.

We came for lunch. They will not seat you unless your entire party is present which can cause longer wait times. The roasted duck wonton soup broth had no flavor of its own just a lot of aromatics in the bottom, if you think it sounds interesting I’d skip it as there was hardly any duck. The orange chicken was tasty and tangy. The crab and pork soup dumplings were very tasty and had a lot of broth. If it’s a chilly day I’d be careful of sitting too close to the door because the cold air with make the soup dumpling broth congeal. The duck dumpling wrapper had a very sticky texture.

Our server came to our table one time and that was to deliver our food so if you needed something or wanted to place an extra order the service isn’t the best. I think since the place is small they kind of want you to just eat and leave so they can for more people in.

Ordered through grubhub and the noodles were cold and hard. Lacked flavor. Definitely not worth the price.

Dim Sum Palace is a traditional Chinese restaurant that offers excellent teas and soups. As expected, the dim sum is truly delicious, accompanied by incredible sauces that enhance the flavors. The menu provides a great variety of options, ensuring a satisfying experience for dim sum lovers.

The service was good and efficient—nothing more, nothing less. The staff was attentive, and the food arrived quickly, which is always a plus. However, don’t expect anything beyond basic hospitality.

The restaurant itself is small but comfortable. While the space might feel a bit tight during busy hours, it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. The ambiance is simple, with a focus on the food rather than elaborate decor.

Overall, Dim Sum Palace is a solid choice for those looking to enjoy authentic dim sum and traditional Chinese flavors. The quality of the food, especially the teas, soups, and sauces, makes it worth a visit. If you’re in the mood for a quick yet flavorful meal, this spot is definitely recommended.

Dim Sum Palace is a great option for dim sum in NYC, especially if you prioritize convenience and variety. It's not the best dim sum you'll ever have, but it's a solid choice if you're in the mood for a quick and easy dim sum meal.

We ordered a Peking duck take out 3 times . 1 st time it was a whole duck and all was great, but 2 other times and I see it as restaurants business pattern , we received less then half of the duck mostly skin pieces with a little bit of meat on a big pad of their chips . 2 times by now !!! I called the place , they were arguing with me on this and I took a picture as well. I lived in China for many years .. I know how Peking duck sliced looks like , not just fat skin and legs … The funny part is the owner knows us very well, but still makes sure he sells one duck twice !

Very good food. On the pricey side for Chinese/dim sum. We didn't experience the cart service, so not sure they have one. I think I would try other places before I decide to go back.

The dim sum here is fantastic! The wrappers are just right—not too thick or sticky—and the fillings are packed with great flavor. Definitely five stars for the food.

However, when it came time to pay, the waiter stood there staring at us while we chose the tip. It felt really uncomfortable, like we were being pressured. That experience took away from the otherwise great meal, so I’m deducting one star for that.

I have bronchitis, so I am very sensitive about smell. When I was in the restaurant, I smelled the cigarettes and I told the staff as well, but seemed i was not being cared. I was really sick because of that for the past few days. They ruined my holiday mood and health. I am not sure if I should file a claim with the fire department or the health department at this time or both. Very disappointed

As everyone has written, it's best to go during happy hour. I think it's good overall, including cost performance.
The taste of Chinese food in New York is different from that of Japan, so overall it's not Cantonese-style. Therefore, there may be few people who say that it is very delicious.
On a different note, nearby Joe's Champai is delicious and meets the taste of Japanese people. But don't go to that part of Chinatown.

I'm still at the restaurant. It's very unusual for me to leave a review like this. My family and I arrived around 2pm and ordered several dim sum dishes, a fried rice and a noodle dish. We were served about half of the dim sum we ordered, about 2:50 a waiter asked us if we were ready to pay. Obviously they forgot about us. We still had not been served more than half of what we ordered.

We were told that the kitchen is closed and they are only serving dim sum. Why give us the full menu when we ordered?

We were able to order a couple more dim sum dishes, since we're limited to that menu. The food is good, some dishes were hit or miss. The pork buns were the best dim sum, followed by the soup dumplings. The crispy ribs were good too but needed some sort of sauce. The service is obviously lacking. We were served some dishes that come with a sauce without a sauce.

It's unfortunate because the restaurant is beautiful inside and very clean. I do not recommend based on the service and lack of food. I'll make sure to look at the bill so I don't get charged for things we didn't receive.

We left at 3:30. Bill was accurate.

I come from the West Coast and our Chinese food is nothing like this flavorless dump. It was horrible, really dissapointed because everything else we've tried in NY has been delicious.

We went in to have dinner and it was really good. Our biggest complaint was that the waitress demanded a bigger tip than what we left. My wife and I were just shocked that she demanded a bigger tip when the service was nothing special. She told us that next time we should tip the suggested amount. Very unprofessional.

We ordered the dumplings and they were very good. Particularly the pork soup dumplings - I’d recommend getting these. The price is also reasonable considering it’s in a prime area of New York.
