it was mid.walked in and stood for about 60 seconds before the waitress looked at me. that led to a weird interaction as i waited for her to tell me if i could pick my own seat or if she would be seating me. she said nothing so i asked if i could sit anywhere and then she pointed at a seat. so awkward. please train your staff, dimes.i ordered an acai bowl and it was underwhelming. not enough fresh fruit, too much granola, raisins, and seeds. i will never understand the obsession with raisins in acai bowls, as they get frozen by the cold acai base and become sweet stones that get stuck to your teeth. i’ve never seen this anywhere outside nyc. just why?overall, a subpar experience. maybe i’ll give it another chance as i live nearby.

I never leave reviews but this is probably my top 3 restaurants in NYC. I have been going here nearly every weekend (daily at times) for the past 5 years. Zach, the owner, is amazing, Josiah is the best, everyone is incredible. However, I have had two terrible experiences with one of the new waitresses that joined recently-ish. She has been rude, snarky, and just the opposite of what the other wait staff like Josiah and (forgetting his name but one of my favorite dimes employees that I always talk about Arsenal/footy with). The first couple instances where she was rude I just shrugged it off but today at around 1230 was the final drop. She was outwardly rude to me to the point where two patrons sitting and eating basically gasped at the interaction between us two. I love Dimes and that’s why I left it a 5 star review cause it’s the best restaurant in the area but wanted to point this out so Dimes doesn’t lose the spark that makes it special. Thanks to everyone else who always makes me feel like family whenever I citibike to go grab my breakfast burrito (best in NYC hands down) and açaí bowl ◡̈ -carlo

Too health friendly. No real food. No diet coke. Nothing for me.

Healthy and vegetarian focused! Counter seating for about 15, a few more seats in the window and outside. Pink smoothie tasted like fancy bathroom soap (lavender) so avoid if you don’t love floral.

Consider yourself fortunate if you don't know what Dimes Square is, because you would've saved yourself some confusion trying to understand the microneighborhood named for this eatery I'm writing about today. Technically Dimes Square is named for the original Dimes next door, known for drawing a crowd of models, men with buns, and self-important young people who may have benefited from a trust fund or two. Dimes Deli is the casual sister eatery to Dimes, and gives off a diner vibe, but with things like poke and gazpacho on the menu. There is no discernible cuisine or theme, except that the menu leans healthy. I ordered both poke and gazpacho which were nice for the humid night I was there but didn't do much for my tastebuds. As much as I poke fun at those who like places like this I'm actually in this target demo. I'd very much enjoy a healthy bowl with a dragonfruit lavendar coconut water smoothie on the side, but only if executed well, and this meal was wholly unmemorable.

Honestly, prefer Dimes Deli to actual Dimes. It’s chill and there’s usually places to sit—when it’s nice out, my fave spot is the bench outside (they’ll pass you your food through the window). Love the breakfast burrito here as well as the macro bowl with chicken! I’ve had the fantastic baby and their acai bowls as well, all of which I’ve enjoyed. Also like their cookies!

One of my top favorite spots! I originally was a Stan of Dimes but the Deli is even more accessible and equally delicious. I love the egg breakfast sandwich and the pickled salmon bowl. The tahini cookies are also incredible.

I think of the "Sumner Roll" as a Dunmer Roll. 5/5

3 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service. some food is better than others. the turmeric citrus salmon bowl was incredible, one of the best cooked and marinated pieces of salmon i have ever had. the chilaquiles on the other hand were mostly soggy and the pulled chicken was dry and had little flavor. service on the other hand is impeccable (i had the dude with the glasses serving me)

Vegan treats were my faves! ...great juices and vegan deli foods. Friendly service. Thank you Dimes!

You really appropriate queer culture by using queer slang created by black people in the ballroom community… what is “Its giving… pasta” ??? Be original please. Don’t take what isn’t yours honey it’s gross and unflattering. Unless you’re an unseasoned bird.
