This is a great little hidden gem. Because you go downstairs to enter, it doesn't seem like it would be a big as it really is inside. We sat in a beautifully decorated room with a skylight and bar. The food was excellent. The crispy rice treats are delicious as was the salmon and the smash burger. I will definitely return.

I was visiting NYC from ATL and saw that Gayle King visited DND and highly recommended it! So I gave it a try and was so impressed by the staff and the wonderful gentleman that greeted me and my party of 3 at the door! Originally he mentioned they were full but could sit us at the bar and we were perfectly ok with that! Ince we got in he said he wanted us to have an amazing experience so he made arrangements to sit us at a table that was no longer reserved! Our waitress (blonde young lady) sorry I forgot her name, was prompt and did not skip a beat! Food came out very quickly and cocktails did not disappoint 10/10 all the way around! Atmosphere was very classy, sophisticated and chic! Oh one last thing please dress to impress! Next time I will make sure I am up to par!

I would rate this place zero out of ten due to lack of respect I received from the “security guard” Before arriving to DND I checked the website, and there was no mention of needing reservations, it even mentions that walk ins are accepted for the bar. When I arrived, the “security guard” asked “do you have a reservation, yes or no”. With no knowledge that I needed a reservation I told him no and he refused us entry. At no point was it explained that reservations were required by him or DND website.
The lack of transparency is frustrating as I traveled far and wide to get there. The “security guard” was neither friendly nor helpful. Instead of letting us know they were at capacity and we might be accommodated if space opened, he simply made it seem like we weren’t welcome because we didn’t have a reservation. This requirement was not made clear online or in person. He was very willing to allow a group of others in as they “had a reservation” after he “flirted” (his words not mine) with them.
If I were to consider going again, I’d call ahead or make a reservation just to avoid this issue. I’d also think twice before committing to the commute only to be turned away at the door.

If you're looking for great vibes and even better eats, this is the spot! We started off with the Crispy Rice Party — and let me tell you, it really was a party in your mouth! Bursting with flavor, l'd order this every time without question. Next up: Lemon Pepper Mala Wings and Mac & Cheese. The gouda, herbed breadcrumbs, and smoked bacon took the mac & cheese to the next level — creamy, smoky, and so satisfying. For dinner, we went with the Smashed Burger & Fries and the Steak Frites au Poivre — both cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. Of course, you can't forget the drinks! We tried the Thug Passion and a classic French 75, and they paired perfectly with the meal.
