I recently visited this Japanese restaurant and tried their Okonomi-yaki, the Japanese savory pancake. While the pancake itself was cooked well with a nice texture, it lacked the depth of flavor that I was expecting. The dish was missing that distinct, savory punch, so it just didn’t live up to the taste I was hoping for.

The Dokodemo by far my favorite ramen in the city so far, and I’ve had a lot of ramen in the city. The portion size is huge and the noodles are thick. Broth is super tasty. Price is a tad expensive than other places but worth it. The staff are so cool and nice. I will be coming back plenty of times

Love this place! One of my favorite restaurants. Such great food and nice staff. The ramen rice with tofu is my absolute fave.
This place is so awesome from the music to the decor! Its super original with great staff but the food is the ultimate standout.
We had the Hiroshima-Yaki a combination of yakitori style noodles with grilled chicken cooked between a savory pancake coated with bbq and mayo that was freaking bomb!!! Plus that cabbage on the side?! Bruh!
The pork dumplings were just as we expected great balance of umami and onions with that nice dark sauce that was surprisingly heavy but perfect coating the exterior.
Dokodemo is the spot for unique japanese grill food with a modern urban adaptation that fits the crowd like myself.
Will be back! Thank you Richard for the excellent experience!!!

I can’t express how much I love this place. The food is incredible and the staff is very kind/welcoming. Best Yakisoba in NYC.
I wish I had some Tonkatsu Yakisoba right now.

a no-frills, cozy spot where you order at the counter and sit right next to the kitchen. they have a range of spice levels, which is impressive since Japanese food is known to be mild. i got the tonkotsu ramen rice at a mild level to try, since spice sometimes overpowers other flavors in general. i was really impressed. it tastes, literally, like the broth was substituted by solid rice. there's ginger, the slightest spice, tempura crunch, ramen noodles, cilantro, and other ingredients that make the flavor complex and fun to eat. i definitely could have gotten medium or higher spice if i wanted a spicy dish.
the serving was generous, enough to tie me over for two small meals instead of one big one. the best part was that it was only $15 after tax.
