DokoDemo is a welcome surprise in the East Village - casual, efficient, and satisfying. The setup is straightforward: order at the counter, grab a seat, and settle in for a relaxed meal. Service is quick without feeling rushed.

The menu keeps things simple and well-organized. The front page shows photos of the dishes, while the back lists all the items; mostly hearty entrees with a few sides. It makes group ordering easy and low-stress.

Updated 09/27/2025: Before I start out this review I want to give a huge shout out to Richard. His service was phenomenal. I came with my family, one of which is on the spectrum and he made us all feel welcome and went above and beyond with his service.

Dokodemo is a very cozy and chill place. The food was amazing. Both the okonomiyaki and Hiroshima-yaki were really good but the soy fried rice with shrimp was the winner. Also if you are looking for a quick good...
