**BYOB** we didn’t know this until we sat down.

After having the Omakase menu, the staff was unable to offer us additional pieces which was disappointing.

Good start for new Omakase restaurant in the neighborhood.

Hunted for an omakase restaurant on our NYC vacation. This is the best meal I’ve had in my life. Not exaggerating. Watching Jiro’s intense focus and passion for his craft makes the experience all the better. I’ll be back any time I’m in NYC.

My wife surprised me for my birthday and took me here. She had gone to the Chinatown stall earlier this year with friends and raved about it. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was incredible. The chef and his associate took great care of us and we had an amazing experience. The value of what you get based on what you pay is hard to beat. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Love visiting Jiro at domo omakase!! An AMAZING meal every time, with the freshest fish and the most creative pieces. The spot maintains the intimate feel of Jiro’s original spot in Chinatown, as it is just bar seating. And Sally’s matcha panna cotta for dessert is a show stealer. Can’t get enough of this place!!

I’ve been a loyal customer of Domo since their very first location at Mott Street Eatery, and the chef at Domo Omakase has always left me in awe with his artistry. His cuisine is masterfully executed—each dish is not only beautifully presented but also delivers flavors that will surprise and delight you in ways you didn’t expect. Every bite is unique, perfectly balanced, and distinctly different from the one before, creating an experience that feels layered and multidimensional. This is what I call true talent.

The chef, who is also a painter, uses ingredients much like a canvas, crafting a dining experience that transcends what you could ever imagine. This new location is a fantastic setting, and after my first visit tonight, I can confidently say that everything I loved about the chef’s work has been elevated to a level of mastery. The team is still working hard every day to perfect the restaurant, handling three full services daily, so I highly recommend booking a spot as soon as possible.

A must-try dish is the beautifully smoked scallops with Hokkaido uni. Another standout is the seared toro with miso, and don’t miss the panna cotta, which is lovingly made by the chef’s wife—an exquisite end to the meal.

An amazing dining experience in this hidden neighborhood gem that I'm pretty sure won't be so "hidden" in the coming months. Saying its great quality is an understatement. Chef Jiro and the staff are super friendly and probably the best sushi I've had including the ones I ate in Japan. An unforgettable night, will return soon.

Everything about this omakase experience is wonderful. One of my favorite sushi restaurants I’ve ever tried. The food was delicious, service was great, and atmosphere was wonderful. 10/10

Went with friends, the chef is so friendly and sociable. He loves and has honed his craft. Best place for omakase in the city.

While visiting the city, I had an evening to kill and was able to get in for the 8:30 seating at Domo omakase.

It was a really exceptional experience. The artistry in the combinations of flavors and the presentation of the various pieces was top tier. Every new dish was an opportunity to just close my eyes and savor the genius. The quality and freshness of the ingredients was stellar, up to and including the chef grabbing a little planter of living sprouts and slicing off the tops for fresh garnish.

One of my favorite dishes was actually dessert, which was a gorgeously balanced, lightly sweet coconut panna cotta with a slightly bitter matcha sauce. The combination was heavenly, the perfect mix of sweet and bitter. I was told that it is a creation of the chef’s wife, and truly I cannot compliment it enough. I am not really a dessert person most of the time (I think many desserts lack depth and are not interesting outside of just being sweet), but this blew me away.

I understand their location is pretty new. It has a really great vibe, with beautiful exposed wood beams and a very nice sushi bar, and it is well decorated with some of the chef’s paintings (an artist in more way than one it seems). I think another nice big one right behind the bar would be a great addition. It’s mostly irrelevant to this review, but I really did like the paintings quite a lot.

Anyway, truly an incredible meal, definitively a spot that I will come back to whenever I’m in the city.
