I ordered Chaufa and half a portion of Pollo a la Brasa. Pollo a la Brasa was DRY and lukewarm. It has been the number 1 tasteless Pollo a la Brasa we ever tried!
The only dish we loved was Chaufa. Also, you have worked in the restaurant industry for a long time; and you probably have tried chicha morada lots of time! How is it that you can not perform well on your chicha morada? How difficult is it to make a chicha morada? Are you Peruvians or not? Your chicha morada didn't have any flavor; It tasted like purple corn juice with sugar. Where's your clove, cinnamon, pinaple peels, apple, Quince, orange, lemon peels?... this is why you lose customers as a result (you restaurant owners) have to close your restaurants.

This is one of my favorite places to eat Unfortunately today I ordered two orders of monster chicken . . I order this dish from Essex market location and their other location on first Ave.the order came with a quarter chicken, rice and French fries. I get home and one has a quarter chicken and the other one has a tiny thigh and a leg. I called and the man who answered the phone pretended not to understand English so I had my Spanish friend translate. He kept repeating verbatim what the order consist of. He then said send a pic and hung up on me. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars in this establishment n I dont deserve to be treated this way. I love this restaurant but I want what I paid for . Customer service needs to improve. I spent 32.66 and one of my orders was ruined

The guy at the cashier/counter serving today (Wednesday night 07/10) offered a terrible and horrible service to me and my boyfriend. I ordered a quinoa bowl with Grilled chicken and when I got my order, they gave me a quinoa bowl with Rotisserie chicken. I told the guy that there was a mistake and he was extremely rude and lied, stating that I asked for “chicken” and that I didn’t specify the kind of chicken I wanted. He, then, asked me to wait and then asked me “What you want me to do my friend?” with a nasty attitude, to which I responded “well, you had me waiting here so I am waiting for my grilled chicken now”. The guy then started acting like an idiot and ignoring me as a customer. Honestly, I’m more upset at the principle and wonder why hire people who can get the job done but are so nasty and disrespectful with the service when the task is so simple and the inconvenient was initially addressed in a friendly manner. 0/10 for the brutal service.
Fun fact: I was there yesterday, there was another guy at the counter, younger hispanic guy, ordered the same thing, and the service was beyond expectations. (I got the same thing and as expected, everything went smoothly)

Yesterday05/26/2024. Yesterday I went to try Peruvian food and the truth is it didn't taste even remotely similar. The huancahina potato had no flavor at all and was $9. I don't recommend the chaufa rice because it looked more like fried rice, it had no flavor, it was fried rice with Chinese beans and almost no egg. Combined with a chicken that I imagine was braised but it had no flavor of anything.35 Dollars . And the service, the girl who served was very despotic, I asked her for spicy food and in a despotic way she answered me and didn't add spicy food. The food looks good but it doesn't taste like Peruvian food and it doesn't taste like anything. Putting Peruvian food and it doesn't taste like our food is not right and the staff should be friendlier and represent Peru well.

We came to visit Manhattan with my husband. The best experience trying Peruvian food for the first time. Lomo saltado and grilled chicken was recommended to us by the girl who served us and we thank her. He also gave us recommendations to visit on Wall Street. Super grateful! <3
