One of my to go, easy going place for delicious hand-roll. This place is no fuss but make great sushis. It’s not an upscale experience as far as decor but it’s an easy going place that will serve you great food.
Food was solid, definitely above average. Service was horrendous. So bad It felt wrong to leave a tip. It took over 35 minutes from ordering to receive our appetizer. We spent an hour and 15 minutes there and only had food in front of us for about 15 of those minutes.
It was extremely difficult to get the waitresses attention. Ended up eating half my sushi without soy sauce or wasabi because it would take them 10 minutes to refill and bring it over. Will not be back.
Amazing quality food & service ! Special thanks to Mandy, she was extremely kind and generous. Loved this place as it wasn’t pretensions, however still delivered on delicious food. Highly recommend
Food is amazing and omakase style ! Not pretentious, food and service really good and fast :) really good time and will recommend to seat at the bar :)
Amazing place!! Have to check it out. The sushi is awesome, I took 2 avocado rolls and 2 salmon rolls and I just couldn’t stop eating…
One of the best sushi places i have ever visited.
I have been to Douska a number of times, and keep coming back for their exceptional hand rolls. Fish quality has always been excellent, and I especially love the snapper.

The waitresses are rude :( When we asked for the menu, one of them just threw it to us. The food is okay. We wanted to order more but then we decided to leave.
I have been coming here for years now. I make a point to eat here anytime I’m in NYC. The quality has never declined. It’s just great quality sushi served in an unpretentious environment. I never have trouble getting a reservation. The toro is my absolute favorite. I did the omakase this time and it was wonderful and a great price ($75). I wanted a little bit more food so ordered one roll to share and a piece of toro each with my husband and we were perfectly full.
Lovely fresh sashimi. Delicious, fresh sushi hand rolled to order, in clean, open kitchen-bar. Overpriced for what it is though.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food is so good , but the server is super slow , we had to ask for our things many times. And in the end the server was forcing us to giving tips and saying that because is New York is mandatory. This was the worst experience in a restaurant that we ever had.
The omakase was INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend sitting at the bar so you can get a view of the sushi making!! Amazing chefs, amazing service. Great quality for a good price. Don’t skip out on dessert- get the salted caramel mochi 😍 will definitely be coming back!!
Super fresh ingredients
This place is average. If you live in the area it’s a good meal but very average and the service and ambience isn’t phenomenal. It’s well priced for the area
