We stumbled across this place on our last day, and I'm so glad we did. We had a sausage and egg bagel and a bacon and egg bagel. Both bagels were incredible, and I can't stop thinking about them. The member of staff behind the counter was super friendly and fun to talk to. When we come back to New York we'll be back, but until then, I'm telling everyone to go here.

Best New York style coffee cake ever! Other shops should take note. Cold brew is serious. I make special trips here for these items.

Stopped there for the first time after passing it on my way to work and I had one of their gluten free muffins and it was delicious. One of the best, if not the best, gluten free muffin I've ever had.

Dietary restrictions: Decent gluten free offerings

I pass through the Columbus Circle station about once a week and only recently realized this shop has vegan and gluten-free treats! She has SO many of them and they are all just incredible. Such a rare find! She is always so friendly and personable. Great service, love this place. Will always stop here. If you’re looking for it, it’s in the Underground Market by the subway!

Dietary restrictions: Many vegan and gluten-free options!

Place has top notch vegan food for affordable prices. Owners are incredibly nice and are happy to have a conversation with you. Wouldn’t hesitate to eat here. The bbq jackfruit sandwich is amazing.

Nestled in the center of New York City, Down Under Coffee is a hidden gem. It is the ideal place to start your day with a caffeine fix because of their fragrant drinks and warm atmosphere

As a vegan celiac this was a real lucky find for me! The coffee is fine, service was really nice but best is the huge selection of glutenfree and vegans pastries (and also snacks); I had a carrotcake muffin and that was moist and delicious. Some things are in a case with non-gf items but for those highly concerned over cross-contamination there are also lots of single-package sweets! Would recommend for anyone wanting a quick coffee and snack on a gluten free diet! (There was also a glutenfree quiche but not vegan and vegan non-gf sandwiches)

Rugelachs are really good. Coffee is average. It’s quite challenging to find the place. It’s in underground market, on Columbus circle.

I truly love this little shop. Beverages are well made and there are plenty of food options both vegan, gluten free, and non vegan. So many pastries too! If you’re not vegan, try the coffee cake!
