The service here was non-existent. Came here for dim sum with my family and there was hair in one of my dishes. No one could be found to address the issue and when I was able to get someone’s attention, the woman said in Chinese “that is not my problem, that is the waiters problem”. For someone who works in customer service there’s definitely better ways to respond. When I was finally able to get the waiter to come over she didn’t say anything and just switched the dish. No apology.. NOTHING. Anyways there’s better dim sum restaurants in Chinatown, skip this one.

Good dimsum. The rice noodles are very good. Always busy so it works well as a cart joint.

I wanted to give zero if Google had the option because there was a tablet of customers smoking inside the restaurant, but the staff and the owners of the restaurant didn’t stop them.

Nice spacious restaurant that is good for large groups. The service was good and the food came out quick and everything was delicous. BYOB was an option as well.

I like the way they stock the dim sum carts. Lots of variety on one cart. It also keeps the food fresher because it seems like they stock as the kitchen produces. It's not needlessly large or fancy. If you want Instagram fodder, go to Golden Unicorn. In my mind, this place has replaced a few dim sum spots I went to that now seen to have because bland and limited in the types of dim sum. I've only been once, but I'm going to keep coming back.

This has to be the best kept dim sum secret in NYC. You know if you walk in and the place is packed with only old Cantonese people that the food is going to be good. Lots of places look good on social media but dont taste good (THATS NOT WHATS HAPPENING HERE) Don't be fooled by their lack of photos, reviews, or social media presence. This place is a gem.

Classic dimsum place upstairs with the ladies pushing carts. Kind of small and crowded during popular times such as weekends and holidays- be prepared to share tables with other people.Taste wise, I'd say it's pretty similar to other consume places. Price wise as well.Service was nice, they kept our cold and hot water filled.Definitely worth giving a try at least once

Pretty noisy. Elderly folks may need help getting up the stairs. There is an elevator as an option. Food is good. Comes out fresh. We came here during the middle of the week at noon. Some of the dishes were gone before we could even ask for them.

Wanted to give a 3.5 star but decided to round up. Their quality really depends on the time you go during the day. My first visit was during peak hour around 11:30 to 12 during weekends and all the food came out fresh and piping hot. The flavor was really on point, especially the chicken feet in TCM broth and the pork chop. I could feel my inner Cantonese is being greatly satisfied. My second visit, however, did not live up to my expectations. I went there at around 10:30 am during weekdays, and the food wasn't quite fresh and poorly seasoned. I am not sure if they use a supplier for their dim sum or it's made in house but the quality really fluctuates quite a bit. I hope it doesn't disappoint me the next time I go!

Have been on the search for a good solid dim sum place in downtown Chinatown. This restaurant is my favorite dim sum place. Great value, good food, good price, friendly staff. The restaurant is a little cramped in the second floor u-shaped space. Decor isn't as nice or fancy as Tim Ho Wan, but when I eat dim sum, I care more about the food. The quality of the ingredients are better. Shrimp doesn't have a weird metalic or moldy aftertaste like Jing Fong. The pork spareribs are meaty and aren't filled up with too many pieces of taro root. The dumplings are all freshly made and tasty. They don't speak much English- so try to know what you want in Mandarin or show photos. They are very accomodating and friendly even with a language difference. They open early and they are popular with the locals. So if you come after 11am expect a wait. Dim Sum service tapers off around 1:30pm - so don't expect much choice around them.

Ah, there's a new dim sum place that opened up across from Golden Unicorn. The only difference is that there isn't an hour wait! They offer all your main dim sum dishes: siu mai, steamed buns, congee, etc. Prices were reasonable. The cart ladies frequently stopped by our table and the wait staff consistently refilled our tea and/or iced water. I honestly have no complaints and the food was very nicely done.
