I was with friends, and i drank water from the bottle, and for this one, preoccupied girl waitress complained to guard, kick me out and guard without understanding the situation started to touch me, stay away dangerous people.

WOW! I was positively blown away by my entire experience at Due West. From the warm welcome and immediate seating, to the attentive nature of the wait staff, to the flavorful and delicious food and beverages, to the ambience and vibe - I could go into detail on every single one of these themes and it just kept getting better and better and impressing me as the evening progressed. And actually - I will go into detail because it was just that amazing:1. The welcome: we arrived around 7pm absolutely starving and hoping we'd be able to eat as soon as possible. My friend and I were immediately seated (which was a relief because from what I've heard, this place has a line out the door of eager patrons vying to get in, so YOU KNOW that means its a hot ticket). We were sat at a beautiful corner table and after a brief moment, and as non-drinkers, we were recommended some mocktails that turned out to be just as tasty as they were beautiful - which many NYC spots do not offer, but thankfully that wasnt the case here. The recommendation was perfect and exactly what we were looking for2. THE FOOD: I cannot stress this enough. Everything tasted like Jesus himself put his blessing on it. We had the small plates of fish tacos and the crab dip. Both were absolutely fantastic, but the crab dip truly floored me. I would order a swimming pool size offering of that crab dip. It was THAT good! My friend had a buttery lobster roll that he inhaled, it was sooooo good. And I had the steak frites which was so tender and cooked to absolute perfection! I was actually sad when I finished it because I didn't want the meal to end. Then we had the warm, gooey, chocolately churro dessert. It was like a hug in your mouth, i don't know how else to describe that experience. We accompanied it with two mini chocolate shots and it was just heavenly. We were full in the best way!3. The service: As someone who travels all over and dines at all types of places, the service was something that truly stands out to me: attentive, friendly, engaging, and welcoming! We were carefully tended to, followed up on, water refilled, warm conversation, friendly recommendations, and service with a smile. It honestly felt like we were amongst family.4. The ambience: It was a busy dinner period and everyone seemed to be receiving the same caliber of service and enjoying a lovely night out. The music was faint enough so as not to interrupt your conversations, but loud-ish enough to give the place a truly fun buzz and feel. Paired with the warm lighting, it works for both a date night or a night amongst friends!By the time we were ready to leave, we were already making plans to return with a bigger group and we even explored their website to see whether they host events (they do!) and we discussed the possibility of reaching out to host one of our birthdays! I can't stress enough how wonderful this experience was. I encourage everyone to RUN, don't walk, to Due West!PS. We also found out that the owners of Due West are opening another restaurant in early March called Main Street Landing down in DUMBO, Brooklyn and WE CANNOT WAIT TO CHECK IT OUT! Whatever these folks are doing, its clear that they're experts and they care about the quality of products and services that they provide. THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS! Bravo!

Server didn’t come by my table for 20 minutes even though it wasn’t busy whatsoever (thanksgiving week), was just gabbing with her

Have had several foiled attempts to get in here in the past, but I finally made it! I expected it to be super-bougie, but it turned out to be surprisingly non-pretentious. It was a Thursday night, so not super crowded, and though I'd secured a reservation, we actually were able to just waltz on it. I like the table setup in here; it's intimate and cute for a girls cocktail night out. Bouncer and host were super friendly; waitstaff was attentive. I didn't even expect to make happy hour, but we did. We had 3 rounds of the Lychee 2.0, so, safe to say, that's our cocktail recommendation. I also tried the Happy Hour Beef Slider, very tasty, and my friend said the Fish Taco was worthy as well. We also got the Pepperoni Flatbread and the Fries, both 100% shareable sized and yummy. A little pricey for what they were, but not enough to make you angry because I've seen some TINY flatbreads, but the portions here were plentiful at least. It never got annoyingly crowded or anything either, which was great. I would come back to try the Lobster Roll!

Great service and cool atmosphere. Happy hour is a lot of fun. They welcomed a group of 16 of us and were extremely attentive.

Great little spot in the West Village for a snack and a seasonal cocktail. Servers were friendly and timely. Had two snacks, hot crab dip (delicious!) and the churros (lovely). Seasonal cocktails would be my reason to go. Recommended.

Due West is a very intimate setting. Quite casual but with a nice upscale feel. Beer selection is usually and interesting. The lobsta roll was excellent, very fresh. The main course was prepared perfectly just like the service. Would highly recommend this place for a quick night out that feels like an expensive weekend restaurant.

There’s no better place to watch a game in Manhattan. An elevated sports bar vibe with great food, great viewing lines of TVs, the staff is attentive and incredible, and amazing cocktails to keep the girls happy.

This place had really poor bouncer service. Making people wait in line even though we were joining existing groups, lots of attitude and allowing other people in for no discernible reason. The drinks may be good, but I still wouldn't
