Let me start by saying I’ve always genuinely enjoyed the food here — it’s one of the few reasons I kept coming back. But good food can’t make up for consistently poor and, frankly, uncomfortable customer service.
Despite being a regular, I’m often greeted with cold, dismissive energy. I can’t say for certain whether this has anything to do with being the only person of color in a predominantly white space — but the pattern is hard to ignore.
During one visit, my family and I were told we couldn’t be seated without a reservation, even though there were plenty of empty tables — and many remained unoccupied for the entire hour we were there. Disappointing, but we let it go and made a reservation for the next time, just to avoid any issues.
This time, after paying for the meal, my mother went to use the restroom while I sat finishing my iced coffee. Not even an hour had passed since our reservation time when the waitress abruptly approached and told us they needed the table. There were other open tables and no one visibly waiting — so the rush to move us felt unnecessary, even targeted.
Out of all the restaurants I’ve dined at, this was by far the worst experience in terms of how I was made to feel. We won’t be returning — and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values being treated with basic courtesy and respect.
Do better.

Always delicious and the variety of baked goods is excellent. The bagels are great, I love having this gem in our neighborhood. Thank you for all you're doing for the uptown community.

The food was ok. But don’t expect to eat exactly what they said in the menu. We had corque madam and huevos rancheros . They was not at the plate was something similar but not those. Any way taste good.

Drinks was also ok my Negroni was not the best but also not the worst.

Service was good and fast until they bring the food on the table after we see them again at the end for the bill. But was busy so that explains it.

A good choice for a brunch stop after fling walking.

Great little bakery! Dutch Baby Bakery stands out from most U.S. cafes with its strong European vibe, perfectly matching its name. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy. However, I’m docking a star because I noticed a chipped cup, which is unacceptable by European standards and should be discarded immediately. Overall, a wonderful spot despite this minor flaw. Nothing is fresh. Very disappointing. Overpriced for stale pastries. Orange juice out of a big jug for $3.

I love the vibes and pastries at Dutch Baby, but they're almost always out of cold brew. Can you please make larger batches in the morning? 🙏 🙏 🙏

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing coffee and vibes in Hudson Heights!

Loved this spot! The coffee is rich and flavorful, and their lemon cake is an absolute must try. The staff is also incredibly kind the person who helped me gave great recommendations and made the experience even better.

One tiny suggestion: The straws for iced coffee are unwrapped and exposed, so it’d be more hygienic if they were individually packaged.

But overall, 100% worth visiting! I’ll definitely be back for more. 😉☕️

It’s okay, the avocado toast was underwhelming and the coffee is good. But not great. We waited at the front to be seated and looked at the paper menu as we wanted brunch, but they said to go up to order instead. We then grabbed seats, and the drinks we had to go up to get, and the food is brought to the table. Kind-of a confusing set up, It’s a mix of casual, and sit in dining. They seemed more concerned with a large party that was seated. I would probably come back if i’m in the area to try something else and see if my opinion changes but for now it’s kindof just “okay”

Had a bacon egg and cheesenon a buttermilk biscuit. It was good enough that I would try it again. I also bought and tried some of their cookies and pastries. The jam cookie was really good.

This is a family-friendly business, you can bring your children. Have a cup of coffee, delicious food, and freshly baked goodies. Try the carrot cake, it is a gem. The prices are affordable for the area. It is clean. Weekends are crowded, so takeout is best. Important, some of their best baked goods are not listed in their online shop so it is best to go to the store. The store is not pet friendly, but has tables outside. And if you are planning to go, visit weekdays afternoon and later.. there is music from locals and poetry. There is zero parking here. The streets it is. I love this place.

I stopped by this café and instantly loved the vibe. The atmosphere is super welcoming, with plenty of space to relax or catch up with friends. The coffee was spot on, and the fresh-baked biscuit I had was seriously delicious. They also had a tempting selection of other baked treats—I’d definitely recommend the spicy coffee cake, chocolate walnut scone, and feta scone. The location is really convenient, making it a perfect stop whether I’m in a rush or just want to hang out for a bit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
