Overpriced and not very good. I think their business model is serving tourists who are visiting the Met.

My diet is opportunistic: I eat what's fastest and closest. It is very hard to disaponte me!

The price was clearly displayed: $20 for a tiny tomato, mozzarella, basil sandwich. It wasn't mentioned that the bread is stale. It wasn't worth $2.

You would expect quality from this location, but it's a no competition ripoff.

Two stars for being honest about prices.

THE EXPLORER

We walked up to the MET to see a couple of the new exhibits. Then we walked back towards midtown and decided to stop at E.A.T. For lunch. We looked inside but decided to sit at one of the covered outside tables. Service was quick and professional. We ordered a chopped liver sandwich and a Turkey club on multi grained bread. Both were very delicious and made just right. Both were rather large portions. Along with an ice tea, it was a very enjoyable lunch.

Had a great experience here, even more so since it was an unplanned visit. We dined in and bought a slice of lemon meringue pie and a brownie - they were both super tasty! My iced coffee was lovely and the lemon meringue pie was amazing. They had a great selection of sweet treats.

Appears like a normal deli/quick stop corner store, but ostensibly arrogant and overpriced. The sandwich prices are indefensible and I don’t understand who in their right mind would buy them beyond sheer curiosity. Please skip this mediocre spot for somewhere that respects its customers and the neighborhood.

*Update* - Because the triggered owner responded and asked me to define “Overpriced” please allow me to retort. Overpriced means “costing more than something is worth”. Which is your entire business model. You failed to address WHY your prices are what they are and you also failed to defend your food quality, preparation, or ingredients. You are delusional, greedy, and self serving and deserve everything you get in this life. Good day.

The prices of the food in this place are crazy. A ham and cheese on sliced bread is 32 bucks. It wasn’t even that tasty
