really good
Vermouth-focused lounge—fun spot for aperitivo.
What a delight! So many great seafood snacks and fun drinks.
Eel Bar is serving chic comfort with a side of attitude. The tapas? Tiny masterpieces. The martini? Ice-cold perfection. And the swordfish? Bold, buttery, and beautifully cooked—main character energy. A perfect spot for flirty bites and long drinks in a romantic light.
The pork was tooooo crazy good!! Service was so kind and attentive ❤️
Fabulous meal here. The bartender recommended the stuffed peppers which ended up being our favorite dish. Loved everything else we had (fried mussels, half chicken, mixed greens), and the atmosphere felt very European. Would def go back
Everything we ordered was delicious, but the raw shrimp especially stood out— so fresh and well prepared. The steak and fries were perfectly done, and every dish had just the right balance of flavors. The atmosphere was great, and our server was so sweet and attentive. I had such a good time here—definitely a spot I’d come back to.
Loved my cocktail, the hostess was a doll, and the food was spectacular.
We got a table right away outside. We sat at a table on the street. With open streets it was a really nice atmosphere. Cocktails were great. We ordered the potato salad, fried bass, shrimp, and escarole salad. Overall the food was pretty good but definitely greasy. Olive oil is a key ingredient but they really drowned it in it.
Shrimp dish was my favorite, didn’t care for the potato salad .
The food we got were bites which is what we expected.
They accidentally double charged us for two of the items. She said it’s a problem with the outside system so double check.
I truly enjoyed the burger, but it is quite pricey, considering it doesn't come with any sides.
My second favorite was the quail. It was a very flavorful with the pickles, and I don't think it is a common offering in the city restaurants so it was fun to try.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was quite loud, it was impossible to have a conversation at the bar. I would recommend sitting at the patio even though they have a very aesthetic interior.
The friendliness of the staff depends person to person.

Super flavorful, thoughtful dishes. A little oily but very yummy. Recommend getting friend mussels, bomba rice, and fried bass. I really enjoyed the burger too because of its unique flavor profile, but not everyone loved it.
Amazing people making great food with the perfect atmosphere. If you’re in the LES for drinks or dinner, you don’t want to miss. Don’t miss out on their fried mussels or fries, they make their own mayo.
Too fye lol, top to bottom
I have always loved Eel Bar and I live locally.
We went last night, and found the portions are becoming smaller and smaller each time we go. The dishes are not cheap either. We had the octopus and it had about 4 pieces of octopus in it.. the dish is over $20...
We spent about $200 on dinner and left hungry still.
We were also sitting at the bar and asked if we could move outside when a table became available and the hostess was not accommodating at all and said its 'too hard'..
Pros: the atmosphere was good and the service was on point, very efficient and attentive.
Cons: unfortunately the food really didn't live up to the hype - having eaten in Galicia and across Spain I had high hopes but a lot of the dishes were pretty weak and VERY expensive for what they were. Shrimp were not super fresh. Oysters were okay but nothing special. Highlight was a fried sea bass that was perfectly flaky and crunchy, and some croquetas that had a huge punch of garlic. Everything else was pretty disappointing
