Overall it was good and I will go back. Food quality and portion was great. Two little outside tables are cute. Nice to have that option on a quieter side street. Service was slow but there was only one server on for the bar, inside tables and outside tables. He did apologize for this. We were in no rush so it was no bother to us anyways.
Imarol & Evelyn,
There’s two are the perfect duo when it comes to running a restaurant. Not only did the drinks give a great vibe but the food & music were a vibe too. Growing up in the city seems tough but when you visit places like this life seems a lot more simpler. Thank you el coco for wonderful staff and a great time!

Great food. Empanada was well made and the tacos were very flavoursome. $5 Pina Colada was really lush and had a nice kick to it. Friendly service. Good for birthdays as you’ll get a sing song and a free shooter. Would visit again!

The food was excellent. The birria tacos were really good. Frozen margaritas are a little small.

Fantastic Restaurant Week special. Server was not particularly attentive but we got our money worth considering the meal special and multiple small margaritas.
Great spot! Super affordable (can’t beat the $5 margs), solid food, and good service. I’m excited to have come across this spot in the neighborhood! I’ll definitely be back

This place is amazing. Mexican food in manhattan is not always the best but El Coco is absolutely an exception. The mar y tierra taco had some of the most tender octopus i had in my life, and the barbacoa and al pastor were similar tender and delicious. And the real ringer is the drinks, $5 margaritas all night everyday until close. Strong pours, and incredible food for so cheap. I’m coming back here like every weekend this is an easy 5 stars and i’m shocked that this place isn’t packed every single day
Also shout out to our bartender andre he was amazing 🙏

They’re literally closed right now - don’t waste your time.
Oh Man! ...what a refreshing Sunday afternoon at El Coco. I was pleased with my first visit. To start, the drinks were a setup to make it an auto revisit situation. The taco selection was great, and of course, I had a few different ones to see what they were working with; nice flavor. As a side note, if they were to offer an in-house made drizzle of a spicy, citrusy or smokey flavor would take these little beauties to the next level. The servers were very friendly and eager to make it an enjoyable experience. Finally, this is a great spot to visit with friends without busting your budget!
I was really disappointed with this location i have been to the location on 9th avenue and the service and food was amazing that i wanted to try a different location but this location was horrible because i didn’t have a reservation i wasn’t able to get a table and there was a few empty ones but was able to sit at the bar couldn’t get a pitcher at the bar only at the tables i looked on line and saw a spot open to make a reservation i told the server and she said don’t worry and sat me and my friends at the table food wasn’t as good as the other place but as soon as the server saw that we finish eating was kicking us out saying they needed the table for other people and we still
Had half a pitcher left they came with plastic cups to take it to go and they was people there way before us and she didn’t tell them anything i will not be coming back to this location at all
Read lots of good reviews. The restaurant is nice, but everything was very average. The Margarita was small and served in a plastic glass, while my husband's drink came in a real cocktail glass. The fajitas came out sizzling and were tasty, but nothing sepcial. The price is moderate. Not bad, not great, but reasonable and very close to the Beacon Theater where we were going to see a concert.
