They’re literally closed right now - don’t waste your time.
Oh Man! ...what a refreshing Sunday afternoon at El Coco. I was pleased with my first visit. To start, the drinks were a setup to make it an auto revisit situation. The taco selection was great, and of course, I had a few different ones to see what they were working with; nice flavor. As a side note, if they were to offer an in-house made drizzle of a spicy, citrusy or smokey flavor would take these little beauties to the next level. The servers were very friendly and eager to make it an enjoyable experience. Finally, this is a great spot to visit with friends without busting your budget!
I was really disappointed with this location i have been to the location on 9th avenue and the service and food was amazing that i wanted to try a different location but this location was horrible because i didn’t have a reservation i wasn’t able to get a table and there was a few empty ones but was able to sit at the bar couldn’t get a pitcher at the bar only at the tables i looked on line and saw a spot open to make a reservation i told the server and she said don’t worry and sat me and my friends at the table food wasn’t as good as the other place but as soon as the server saw that we finish eating was kicking us out saying they needed the table for other people and we still
Had half a pitcher left they came with plastic cups to take it to go and they was people there way before us and she didn’t tell them anything i will not be coming back to this location at all
Read lots of good reviews. The restaurant is nice, but everything was very average. The Margarita was small and served in a plastic glass, while my husband's drink came in a real cocktail glass. The fajitas came out sizzling and were tasty, but nothing sepcial. The price is moderate. Not bad, not great, but reasonable and very close to the Beacon Theater where we were going to see a concert.
This restaurant was adequate. Nothing memorable but not horrible. Service was decent but restaurant was mostly empty. Only real complaint was that there were no menus -- I thought we were done with QR codes as it brings back no so fond memories. Food was fine and prices were not bad. Would I come back? Probably not as there are better options in the neighborhood.
We went here for a Friday night dinner. Had a reservation but it wasn’t too crowded. Everyone was happy with their tacos, empanadas, and enchiladas. The margaritas are small and cheap. Not a bad bill for a party of 4 (a 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill). Would come again.
Great food. Great drinks. Come with friends and have a good time. Bartenders and servers are super nice!
I really wanted to love this place after seeing it online. Songs being played were good and were at a nice reasonable noise level. The decor is cool.
The coco margarita was terrible.
The esquites were just ok.
The fish tacos were tragically bland. No sauce was offered with it or in it. Just fish and a slice of avocado on top with a lime wedge on the side.
The beef empanada was just not good.
The churros however, were really good.
I don’t know if I just ordered the wrong things but based off this experience I wouldn’t come back or recommend to anyone who is used to good drinks and seasoned food.
Servers have very low energy. They don’t even greet you when you come in. Just a dead stare.
It was pretty dead inside so that should have been our queue. The food was OK but the service was terrible; we weren't sure if the waiter even knew he worked there.. Won't be returning and do not recommend
