I really wanted to like this place as I am frequently in the area but I won’t be back. I ordered take out and the food was soggy. The guacamole tasted weird and the like with my taco had a weird color to it (it looked like it was highlighted green). Totally ruined the experience of an otherwise nice, updated looking restaurant. The person taking the orders was nice enough but the food didn’t match her service. I would not recommend.

Nice enough place. Steak taco was quite nice. Chicken quesadilla was OK at best. Service was very poor. 30 minutes for the two items and once the order was ready they didn’t even let me know even though I was just outside. Food was cold by the time they gave it to me.

So glad El Gallo Taqueria expanded into Midtown. I tend to the Bensonhurst location since I’m closest to that location. I can now enjoy my crispy fish, shrimp, and suadero tacos in Midtown as well! This is so exciting. This franchise also makes guacamole with tomatoes (my favorite)!

I've been coming to this restaurant for about a month or so. The tacos are amazing, the pricing is more than fair for NYC, and although the entire staff is friendly, Jamell in particular is always ready to help with a smile!

I bought a pozole soup and it was cold. I returned it and explained that it was cold. The cashier was really rude. She wanted me to take another soup. I explained that I didn't want another one and requested a refund. She didn't want to give a refund because the manager wasn't there and she was the only one could do the refund. They stole my money claiming that I could only get another soup.
