we dine her quite often and food nd drinks are always excellent. absolutelly top class. they only challenge is their service. Some of their staff members are simply rude (not unkind - just rude). Today, we had a dinner and a rude „manager” who said her name ws Natalie said „we need to get out of here within 90 min” kept rushing us all the time. We were not able to enjoy delicious food or drinks as her mean face and comments kept interrupting all the time. Good restaurant is not just about food. it is about vibe as well. we won’t be back if she is there

There are 3 pillars to a good Mexican restaurant - delicious drinks with a punch, perfectly crunchy chips, and a lively atmosphere. This place hits it all, every time. I've been coming here for years and this place is a staple for my family. Always delicious food, great service, and STRONG frozen margaritas. They also have a younger happy hour crowd, so great for family dinner or a pre-game to a night out. You won't regret coming here!

The food wasn't good but the pomegranate margarita was.
This is our absolute FAVORITE Tex-Mex restaurant in NYC. So much so that I wish they shipped food!! Fajitas, Queso and guac are fabulous. The margaritas are yummy too!! Everyone we’ve ever recommended it to have loved it as well. Don’t miss grabbing food here-it doesn’t disappoint. A+
Amazing margaritas coupled with exceptional Mexican food. Who could ask for anything more.

Music way too loud in dining area (can't talk at dinner and wait staff can't communicate with patrons). The wait staff does not check back with tables between service.
Granted the last time I was here was before Covid however it was a blast. An old college friend took us and the bar was lit! Too a minute to get drinks but the vibes was good. Especially for cheap margs. Then they took us through the kitchen to the other side of the restaurant, hence the name El Rio Grande! We're heading back to NY and can't wait to take my wife and our friends there this time!
Best margarita ever had!!
