Disappointing Experience
We celebrated a birthday at this restaurant with a group of eight. We were offered a set menu per person, as they said it would be more convenient. We agreed and planned the menu in advance.
However, on the day of the event, we faced several issues. The food was served very slowly, and at first, they only brought enough for four people, even though we had paid for eight. We realized this when they served baked cheese—just four pieces instead of eight. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he apologized and later brought the missing appetizers. But if it weren’t for the cheese, we wouldn’t have noticed that half of our food was missing.
The bar situation was also frustrating. Before booking, we specifically asked about the availability and pricing of strong liquor, and we were assured that everything was available. However, on the day of our event, they didn’t have it, and the staff had to go out and buy it, which took extra time.
The food took too long to arrive and was served cold. They even forgot about the birthday cake we had brought. It was only brought out after we reminded them that it was in their kitchen.
Overall, we expected much better service, especially considering that everything was pre-ordered and arranged in advance. Very disappointing.

Starters were amazing(delicious) but main course…
Ambience of the place was so dark. But anyway, i can recommend to see and taste.

Probably one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Had a reservation for 8pm, did not get sat until 8:45. Staff are as rude as can be (except for the bar man who really tried to help us out!!). The food was okay but do not recommend AT ALL. The definition of unprofessionalism.

Excellent atmosphere and attentive and friendly service. The food was good, I particularly liked the eggplant, and the octopus was also good. The swordfish tasted good, but the texture was off, kinda mushy. The chocolate mousse was very decadent.

Pretty decorations. Standard greek style dishes. Got the special of the day which turned out to be a basic white fish for $89 which was pretty ridiculous. Overall the staff was friendly and a fine place to come for an evening

A group of us ate here last night before a show. I'll start off with some of the positives first. It has a nice decor and the food was pretty good. Not amazing but I was happy with all the food. I had the lamb with fries and it was cooked perfectly. We shared the Galaktompouriko for dessert which was also tasty.
The waiter was far too opinionated on what we could and couldn't eat. When it was time to order, one of us ordered the octopus and the waiter simply shook his head and said "no". They had the dish available but he told her that she will have the scallops instead. lol I've never had this experience before at a restaurant. That set the tone for the rest of the experience. We were constantly battling the waiter on what we wanted to order vs. what he thought we should have instead. It made the mood tense every time we had to interact with him.
This is not a positive experience in my opinion and I won't be going back. In addition to that it was pretty expensive even for NY prices.

What a lovely place. The decor inside is so nice and inviting. The staff were too!
Portions are pretty big so keep that in mind.
We ordered two cocktails and they were both well made. A cosmo and a dirty martini. We did ask for grey goose but apparently they made them with well vodka. They were still yummy.
We had the salad, dip sampler, chicken souvlaki and the whole fish. It was a lot of food.
The salad had the most amazing feta and a perfect pairing dressing. The veggies were fresh if not cut up well.
The dip sampler had five different dips and tasty warm pita triangles. A few of the pita were a bit mushy from steam I think. I’d have loved if they had gotten them all crispy and all well seasoned. Only a few were. The dips were so well seasoned.
The chicken souvlaki was well prepared. Tender, moist and seasoned nicely. The rice pilaf was also very good.
The fish was soft and flavorful. The capers a nice contrast to the butteriness of the fish. The fish had a lot of bones. It was served with large French fries, I think. It was more like a quartered potato that was roasted. And not roasted that well. They were mushy but nothing great.
I did get a glass of Sauvignon blanc to go with my fish that the waitress helped me pick out. It was a good choice.
Dinner was $200 for two people with lots of leftovers. However, for the price I feel that the food should have been more on point.
I will be back, but only for the salad and dips.

DO NOT COME HERE WITH LARGE GROUPS!
While you may be enticed by the ability to book large parties on Resy for Eleni’s you will leave feeling taken advantage of and underwhelmed. We came in with a large party for a birthday celebration and thought we were going to have a great night. Our server told us he had 15 years of experience with the chef and knew all the best things on the menu.
We were not given any menus and our server assured us he knew how to take care of big groups and said he would provide us a great menu for family style dinning. He quickly ran through what we should order and it sounded nice. We tried to amend one of the items he listed and our server flat out told us no. With little other option, we trusted him to order the menu he suggested.
When we got our food we quickly learned that he had ordered enough food to feed 25 people not a group of 12. He added on 4 additional dishes from what he had originally listed and ordered varying quantities of each dish. He never gave us a final review of what we were getting and there was no possible way to eat all of the food.
The food its self was also underwhelming. Our final course included two ridiculously priced meat towers that were served on broken dishes, with piles of fat that looked like the trimmings intended for the garbage, chicken that was so tough you could not cut through it and so many other inedible, unappetizing components.
When we received the bill for the meal it was exorbitant for even Manhattan’s top fine-dining establishments, which this was absolutely not. After seeing other reviews and speaking with other patrons it appears this is a scam they continuously run on big groups.
I am truly shocked by the behavior of our server and the restaurant as a whole. I would not suggest going here to anyone I know and I urge you to take your business elsewhere where you can find better food, better service and support a business that is run with integrity.
I have never been so disappointed in a dining experience in my life.

Food was just OK. Nothing special. The waiter is definitely an old-school guy. He was very rude. He made fun of someone at the table and thought it would be funny to make a distasteful comment. Super awkward when someone makes fun of someone’s appearance and then you have to be served by them the rest of the meal. Anyway, if you’re hungry and don’t care what you’re gonna eat, this is cool

Food so bland and tasteless you'll want to take a covid test afterwards. I sincerely hope the kitchen had a horrible night and this is not indicative of their normal quality.
After passing by this place numerous times and seeing positive reviews here and on other platforms, we decided to give it a try.
We ordered Horiatiki, Eleni’s chips, Lavraki, and a side of Tzatziki. The only edible item was the Horiatiki. We ended up discarding most of our order and quickly ordered something else from Doordash because we were still hungry.
The Lavraki tasted as if the fish was caught in the East River sometime during the 20th century. I’ve eaten many versions of zucchini and eggplant chips, but this is the first time I had no desire to finish them—they were bland with an odd aftertaste. Even the Tzatziki was aggressively mediocre.
If anyone doubts my understanding of Greek food, I’ve been to Greece many times and perhaps most relevant have frequently visited Astoria. Even the worst Greek restaurant in Astoria blows this place out of the water.
Note: This review is based on a delivery order; I cannot speak to the service or atmosphere.

Cute local Greek spot. Love the ambiance inside. But, wish I craved the food more. Food is above average. I would go more for the ambiance vs. the food. Overall, would recommend the place.

Summary - Nice place, mostly good but avoid the seafood.
Details -
Have eaten here twice now, the first time was fine, this time less so. Salad was great, pita was great, mussels were an absolute crime. Mussels in white wine came in a cream sauce which was unexpected and they were absolutely hammered. Someone in the kitchen thought they were baking bread, never seen any shellfish so overcooked. My veal chop was really really good, they did an admirable job cooking such a thick cut on the bone. The fish however was really sad, bland and dry but also a little fishy. The mussels were dry AF even drenched in a cream sauce so they were probably old, the fish too.
I'm torn, I appreciate some of our dishes were great but I don't think the quality of the seafood was there, forget about the preparation. I'd give this a lower rating just on principle alone for serving those mussels but the veal was sooo good.

Pretty busy place. It needs to be booked in advance. In general, it's not bad at all. Service was good, polite, funny, and helpful. The food was good too, from appetizers. I liked octopus and hummus . Main course seafood orzo ( second tried, first one was really salty, I can't eat that) ,but they changed with no problem. Alcohol drinks are terrible. You need to change bartender. I ordered 2 cocktails and hardly drank them. But I really like birthday dessert, little show, it was really nice and surprisingly. Anyway, time there was good.
