So, I’ve been to this place a couple of times before, and I decided to finally leave a review because this person is racist as hell. There’s this old white guy who works there I’m not sure if he owns the shop, but he’s always around. I’ve been there about three times.

The first time, my friend took me. The second time, I went on my own because they have a restaurant in the front and a little pizza bar in the back. When I walked in, instead of greeting me respectfully, he spoke to me in a hostile tone and asked, “You good?” Mind you, I’m a young Black woman there was no respect or warmth in the way he said it.

I ordered my food (some kind of pasta dish it was mid, by the way), and while I was waiting, he started going on this random rant about how “young people don’t know anything.” Then he called me a “kid.” I cannot stand older people who act like that. It’s like, you’re complaining about young people not knowing anything, while being rude, ignorant, and disrespectful yourself. You don’t know anything about me, but you’re making assumptions. You’re small minded and racist.

The irony of someone like him saying “young people don’t know anything” is wild, when clearly he’s the one stuck in his ways. How dare you treat someone who’s literally coming into your business to spend money and support you like that? Any smart business owner knows to treat every customer with respect because that’s how you make money.

Then a few days ago, I went again and ordered a pizza. It was so mid the crust was plain and tasteless. That slice was worth a dollar at best, but he charged three dollars for it. I should’ve gone to the 99-cent pizza spot instead.

On top of that, he’s rude to his workers especially the Mexican employees. He talks down to them, acts bossy and pushy, and it’s just disgusting to watch.

Bottom line: respect everybody. Respect Black women. Respect young people. I’m a grown woman not some kid. It’s not my fault you’re old and bitter about losing your youth. Stop projecting your insecurities onto your customers.

It’s 2025 why are you still being racist, hostile, and microaggressive toward women of color? Grow up. You’re too old to still be acting like that.

Just ordered cheese ravioli that cost me near $15 for just five. Tastes like they’re from the freezer section at costcos. Never again.

Walked 15 min in the snow to pickup my 12pm classpass meal at 12:10pm and the restaurant was still closed. Tried knocking on the door and the owners ignored me and didn’t open it up. I had to spend more time with classpass to get my money back.

Very bad experience with one of the owners, after being a client who lives in the neighborhood this guy was so rude over the phone that I had to go there myself and pay for something that was very simple to do, but anyways I will NEVER support this business again, have to be very careful the way you treat your clients and much more when you have a new pizza spot so close from your place called SAINT PIZZA with a great PIZZA and very respectful people behind the counter, by the way you buy a large peperoni pie and get a large cheese pie for free for $23.00 and the crust is the best 👌 better than Burrata you guys on 3rd place out of 3...one less costumer and one last thing please try to keep the 🪰 out of your 🍕 that's very unhealthy. You Welcome 🙏

Just a half block away from us when yankee pizza closed down I decided to try this corner store pizza 11 b. We ordered two meat ziti. I’ve never had a mouthful of noodles, like a whole box cooked. It over powers the sauce the cheese and the meat which is very sparse. So I decided to try the pizza next. What the heck is going on? It’s just not worth eating out anymore. This pizza crust was tasteless and texture of cardboard. The sauce has no spices in it. Even adding my own oregano and garlic at home didn’t help. The crust is not even Italian. I’m as old to remember Rosario’s on Houston street. That’s real Italian pizza, I remember. Don’t think the yankee pizza on Ave c that I also miss was as authentic but their crust was delish, you can eat it without sauce or cheese and still be saying yummmm.

Absolutely Disgusting and Unacceptable!
I wish I could give zero stars because this place is the most unhygienic pizza store I have ever encountered. I ordered a pizza and picked it up in a box, thinking everything was fine. But when I opened it at home, I was horrified to find cockroaches crawling inside the box.

Yes, you read that right—cockroaches. I immediately lost my appetite and felt absolutely nauseous. How does a place like this even stay in business? It’s clear they have serious sanitation issues, and I wouldn’t trust them with food preparation at all.

This experience was beyond disgusting and completely unacceptable. Save yourself and your health—DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! The health department needs to investigate immediately.

Ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana, and was very pleasantly surprised! For $15 it's an absolute steal, large portion, fresh and homemade, very tasty! Could be the best bargain left in the East Village!

First time coming here based off a recommendation. Not my best decision, and not the best way to spend my money. The "slice" was cut into such an irregular shape, looking more scalene than anything. I don't know if it was because they were rushing and being sloppy with their cuts (highly unlikely since there was only 1 other person waiting for their slice.) Or they just didn't care since I was a new customer. The pizza itself was very thin to handle the weight of the grease, sauce, and cheese. It was an immediate flop. The pizza was also lacking in flavor, not the best, not the worst. The outdoor seating was nice since the only other seating is at the counter and only seats about 5 or 6. All in all, won't be coming back.

Placed an order through Grubhub. Waited for a few minutes as I was ignored despite being the only person there. Dude didn't even want to look my way. Told him I have a Grubhub order, told him the name and says he doesn't have it. Show him the app barely glances at it and says that's not the name. "It says Rudolph not Rudy" but here's the order in the app and I'm showing him. Dude looks to the other person behind the counter to see what to do. Then gives me the food. Yeah, not ordering from here again and my friend lives across the street. There are better places literally around the corner that treat you like they want your business, go there instead

My favorite pizza shop in New York. I love that this place offers both sit in and take out by the slice. The owners, Vinny and Rocky, are amazing—I take family here every time they visit, to make them feel like they’re getting the “full NYC experience.” BYOB option is also amazing!
