The food was pretty good however the portions are VERY small especially for the price. The chicken was one thigh barely enough for one person, the uni toast was about the size of my palm and toast wasn't crisp, the agnolotti was delicious but unfortunately cold. We also had the cabbage which was good but, again, very small, about a quarter a cabbage. Very expensive to leave so hungry.

What a beautiful restaurant with a comfortable vibe. Everything we ate was delicious - run for the pork chop! Everyone on the team at this restaurant was so gentle and kind.I look forward to returning.

Ella Funt offers a dining experience that is as unique as it is delightful. From the moment I entered the small atrium, where seating arrangements and coat check were efficiently handled, I was immersed in a world of intriguing ambiance and exquisite cuisine. The restaurant unfolds through two seating areas enveloped in a cozy darkness. The decor is a fascinating blend of funky and sophisticated, with the bookcase decor that doubles as the kitchen area being a particularly enchanting touch. My culinary journey began with a well-crafted dirty martini, where I had the option to choose my vodka, setting the tone for a personalized experience. The oysters and scallop carpaccio were our appetizers of choice. The oysters were a delight, small and perfectly complemented by a citrusy, sweet, and slightly salty sauce. Their preparation, detached from the muscle, made them exceptionally enjoyable. While the scallop carpaccio was unfortunately too salty for my taste, this minor setback was quickly overshadowed by the main course. We shared the poisson entier, a grilled whole Dorade, which was a revelation. The fish was expertly deboned, grilled to perfection, and served with fresh snow pea shoots and beans. The accompanying sauce was an exquisite match for the fish, enhancing its delicate flavors. The addition of small clams further elevated the dish.Despite the restaurant's policy of a 90-minute seating time for two people, the service never felt rushed. The food was served as soon as it was ready, and the staff was prompt in their service and clearing of dishes. As we departed, the restaurant was buzzing with activity, a testament to its popularity. Ella Funt not only impressed with its unique ambiance and decor but also with its ability to deliver consistently outstanding culinary creations. An absolute must-visit for those seeking a dining experience that tantalizes the senses and leaves a lasting impression.

Too expensive for what it was. $200+ for 4 small non main course dishes and 2 glasses of wine each. The food wasn’t worth the price. The risotto consistency was too mushy and the mussels had great flavour, but lacked in size and there wasn’t bread to dip in the sauce.

One of the best meals I've had in a very long time! Truly can not even pick a favorite dish from here because everything was just perfection. However, if I had to pick- you absolutely must get the uni and buratta toast, and the escargot risotto. Drinks were also fantastic and the vibes were immaculate. Our server was so-so, but she was charming as heck so we forgave it. Definitely a new go-to!

Great atmosphere with hit or miss food. Pork was a standout and the escargot risotto was so so. Potatoes were a no for me. My biggest issue is that they overcharged me for the red blend wine, which i find to be a disingenuous business practice. Even though it was only an extra dollar, on principle I felt it was worth a mention. Glad I went, wouldn’t come again.

The service at Ella Funt is great, right when you walk in the door you’re greeted by a warm hostess, the servers are kind and friendly, and the sommelier is knowledgeable. The mural on the back wall promises a good vibe/atmosphere but did not deliver. We started out with the oysters which were 10/10 fantastic, the maple ponzu really *BAM* kicked it up a notch—followed by the beef tartare which was a JOKE. It was smaller than the size of a stingy ice cream scoop, paired with field greens. We moved on to the curry mussels which were okay, but nothing to write home about, and then the escargot risotto which was perplexing. The risotto itself was rich, creamy, and delightful, while the 5 or so escargot peppered on top were incredibly bland and rubbery. The chicken skin crisps that were included were also tasty. The Poisson Entier was—abhorrent. It didn’t taste good, looked worse, and it was truly just not for me. I ended up ordering the croquettes which were very good if not a little salty. The drinks here are great, but the non-existent vibe (our reso was at 7pm) was made only more strange by the chorus of Footloose randomly blaring through the speakers for 7 seconds and then a garbage truck shining a light through the window for 5 minutes. Strangely, hearing Footloose was the best part of the night. We spent $180 each which… was a choice.
