Ellis Island Café is an absolute gem. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The food here is a bit pricey, but it’s worth it. I had the Beast Burger, which came with an onion ring, avocado, and all the fixings—it was pretty good, not gonna lie! The wait was a bit long, but the burger made up for it. Plus, it was served on a real plate, which was a nice touch. Also, it’s cool that the café is technically in New York, but you can sit in New Jersey. Definitely a unique spot to grab a bite!
Go here expecting a cafeteria experience and you should be fine. Their goal is to serve many people quickly and efficiently. The food is OK and reasonably priced for the NYC area. They seemed fully staffed and staff were generally doing their best.
