While living in New York for a year, I didn't find many cafes or restaurants, but this place came to mind and I went there several times. It's great for reading or working. I wanted to drink maple latte here, so I came here for a trip down memory lane. Recommended.
I came into Elsewhere Espresso exhausted. These late nights and early mornings of writing Yelp reviews is starting to take its toll.
I came here as opposed to my normal coffee shop, as I need to get more reviews so that I can win another Yelpie. People don't want to talk about it, but a Yelpie is more difficult to get than a Grammy or an Oscar. Winning a Yelpie is war, and war is a full contact sport.

The best espresso in the east village, possibly NYC. No matter the barista the quality is consistently excellent. I make it a ritual to introduce people to this coffee shop. Side note: try the tahini chocolate chip cookies, they're amazing.
