Stopped by Elsie Rooftop in NYC for lunch and drinks with (10) girlfriends and had a fantastic experience. The food was good and well prepared, the drinks were refreshing, Oneshia was our server and she was amazing— fun, attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The rooftop atmosphere is stylish and relaxed with great city views. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it for lunch or drinks.

I dined at Elsie Rooftop with my mother on her last day visiting. We used a Pulse deal and made every effort to communicate this in advance. I left a voicemail and sent an email the day before (neither was answered), informed the hostess upon arrival, and told our server as soon as we sat down. Each time, we were told it was “fine.” Despite this, the Pulse deal was repeatedly forgotten. The server seemed surprised when reminded again, and a manager ultimately had to come over to verify it. While the server was friendly at first, she later ignored our table while giving the table next to us free shots and extra attention. When we were ready to leave, it was very difficult to get the check — I had to raise my voice just to flag someone down. The final bill showed $82.75 (with the original total listed as $140), but the experience left us frustrated and uncomfortable. This was meant to be a special final evening together, and unfortunately the service issues overshadowed what should have been a pleasant visit.

Overall a great brunch gem. Service is pretty good depending on who you get. Music is good tho and the food is always a hit for me I’ve tried the Shakshuka and the smoked salmon board both dishes were 5/5

What a great find! We lucked out and got a table right away. Elsie's was the perfect spot to recharge between shopping destinations! The cocktail and food was really good!

The space feels like an event space and tries to call itself a restaurant. The space feels slightly empty, no actual tables, so seats are very uncomfortable. Our food took forever and while we waited for over 45 minutes, the waitstaff never offered to refill our coffee. It was not at all what we expected and I just can't recommend this “brunch” experience to anyone visiting NYC.

Guess a reservation in advance isn’t enough to be served here. They confirmed my reservation 3 times and I arrived with my family to be greeted doorman who said there’s a private event and they’re not honoring my reservation. Now, my family of four that traveled here from Indiana, is finding a new spot. Basically, they don’t care enough even to cancel your reservation. They will wait until you show up and just not honor it at all.

My mother and I made a last-minute reservations here before catching a show. This place was incredible. All the staff were so incredibly friendly to us and made sure we had the best time. And we did!! Stunning view, incredible vibe, fun, and delicious - our experience here was the cherry on top of our trip to NYC.

Our service was incredibly poor, it took forever for our party to get a second drink and we we close to walking out while waiting on our deserts. The ambience of the space was neat but not worth the overall experience.

The main bar room and side terrace are lovely, however there are issues that need to be addressed. First, the hospitality starts off very poorly with the rude elevator attendant who questions every guest making them feel they have no right to be there. This is the second time I've had this experience, and all my guests had similar experiences with the attendant trying to come upstairs. Secondly, the cocktails were very expensive and off (poor sugar to acid ratio), the food was also very mediocre, reheated in a microwave? Third, the rooms were pretty dead and there was more staff than patrons. Strange for a Wednesday when every other local rooftop bar was fully booked. Maybe because everyone knows Elsie hasn't figured out how to create a hospitable environment worth the prices.

Had a reservation for 2 weeks. Even got a text reminder 30 mins before. When we got there we were told there was a party upstairs and we wouldn’t be able to go up for an hour or more. What a joke.
