Tall lady with green eyes was very rude. Rolled her eyes when we ordered samples. My partner asked what flavor it was and she said “What she ordered”. I got a vanilla scoop and she gave me ice in it. Would not recommend.

This used to be one of my favorite ice cream spots, but after my most recent visit, I won’t be coming back. The service was incredibly disappointing—staff seemed disengaged and barely made an effort to provide a pleasant experience. The ice cream, which I once loved, now feels mediocre and not worth the trip anymore.

What really ruined the visit was how one of the employees treated us. They were unnecessarily rude, which made an already bad experience worse. They said, "didn't he already give you a sample?" After we had asked to taste another one of the flavors.

Sadly, this place has lost its charm for us. The combination of poor service and lackluster ice cream means we’ll be looking for a new go-to spot. Thankfully, there is a Salt & Straw is opening right across the street.

Ice cream quality varies. Vanilla and chocolate were delicious but the raspberry flavor was icy.
Scoops weren't that generous as hoped after reading some reviews...

The ice cream was lacking in flavor. The elaborate dipped cones present well, but tasted stale. Service was somewhat slow, but not atypical for a small space like this one. The many great reviews are therefore confusing - I would rank this place (among nearby UWS options) far below Van Leeuwen (which is also less expensive) and below the nearest soft serve ice cream truck.

Heard so much about this place !
Big disappointment!
I asked for samples, I got a speck on a wooden stick- I tasted the wood . My son asked for a sample for cookie dough and they said -/ it’s Cookie dough !! Can you believe it ? I stayed and ordered because the kids were already there and getting them out of the house is a challenge.
The flavors very very mediocre!
McDonald’s McFlurrys are better tbh.

My daughter and I had vanilla ice cream there earlier today. Both of us have fever and throwing up now, typical food poisoning. I called there just now to let them know heard from them that this is impossible. Rude and unprofessional staff. Be safe and stay away from this place.

The ice cream is decadent and amazing. I ordered Chocolate Addiction but got regular chocolate instead, but it was so good I almost couldn't tell and didn't complain.

Quality hard scooped ice cream! Service was fast and there were a lot of classic flavors with a twist. Emack & Bolio’s is my favorite ice cream shop on the UWS and their grasshopper pie is the best mint chip ice cream I’ve had in a really long time!

We went there today and the place was packed but only one person was working. Not sure if she’s the owner. She’s a tall beautiful girl. Despite getting overwhelmed she was still nice. I ordered the Toasted Smores which she recommended and it was delicious. We will be back.

We went in the person behind the counter was very rude. Made us feel like OutKast like we didn’t belong Little do whoever that person was we live two blocks away nonetheless, you kill people with kindness, and your lipstick didn’t look cute on you neither

Delicious ice cream. I got the grasshopper pie and its the best mint ice cream ever. Service is great. The tall elegant girl who helped me was very nice. She’s really pretty too.
