We love their ice cream. Unique flavors. People here complaining about teenagers serving them ice cream with an attitude have never gone to another ice cream shop in nyc. That’s just expected anywhere where a teenager is serving you. So besides that, the ice cream is worth stopping in for. Give them a chance. They are better priced than the local competitors. And they have better sized scoops. Just saying.
The ice cream was lacking in flavor. The elaborate dipped cones present well, but tasted stale. Service was somewhat slow, but not atypical for a small space like this one. The many great reviews are therefore confusing - I would rank this place (among nearby UWS options) far below Van Leeuwen (which is also less expensive) and below the nearest soft serve ice cream truck.
Quality hard scooped ice cream! Service was fast and there were a lot of classic flavors with a twist. Emack & Bolio’s is my favorite ice cream shop on the UWS and their grasshopper pie is the best mint chip ice cream I’ve had in a really long time!
