The pizza has way too much cheese, not like a good deep dish pizza with good dough. Very disappointing. Not worth any wait.

Our thin pizza had sesame sead sized gravel in it. ..first slice seemed like a one-off but the gravel was throughout the crust. We ate most the pizza then regretted it. Complained to the server who said it was cornmeal .

Like Chicago food and cold beer in a small true NYC neighbothoid vibe? ? this is the place. We had the tavern style and Chicago deep dish. Both authentically Chicago. Many other Chicago foods on menu.Matt, the bartender, is a friendly guy and made the visit five stars. We will come back.

A nice place with good food. It is a cozy small restaurant with room for sitting outside. Pizzas were good and the portions are quite generous, definitely a place to go and share the dishes, specially the deep dish pizzas. Recommended if you are looking for a different pizza style and concept.

It is a restaurant that feels like any other small American pub that you often see in American movies.I was disappointed after eating sushi nearby, so I looked for it on Google Maps and found this Chicago pizza place. It is the pizza place of my life. What need do I have for words? In New York, for this price and this quality, the total score is 500 points.I highly recommend it.

FYA kitchen was closed at 11pm on Thursday night despite being open until midnight. I guess get there more than an hour before close?

Loved it more as a dine-in than a carry-out for sure! My husband surprised me with dinner here for my birthday last year with friends and I was pleasantly surprised at how well they did a Chicago deep-dish, considering that's where I'm originally from and have eaten for years. Their tavern-style pizza is also excellent! We shared the cheesy garlic bread as a table and that was also well-made.The second time I ordered from here was a take-out, and I won't be doing that again. They did a great job making the food and packing it, but it didn't travel as well as I hoped it would and we had to reheat in the oven and it changed the texture quite a bit. The flavors were still good though!Service has always been great here whether dining in or carrying out, so for that I'm grateful. We didn't eat inside the restaurant when we went last year, but they have a nice outdoor patio that's heated and they were able to accommodate a table for 5 even though it was a bit tight. As for the actual order:Cheesy garlic bread - 5/5BYO Deep Dish - Hot giardiniera and fresh garlic - 5/5Thin Crust - Nadine - 5/5BYO Thin Crust - Bell pepper and onion - 5/5, but be warned that the vegetables come out chopped big, which I love, but my MIL did notNeither the deep dish or the thin crust carried out well, but the thin crust did taste good as left overs the next day!

We came during the rain and had to wait outside for someone to leave. That's extremely not nice and impolite. So I don't know how good the pizza is we just left. Never

To Go! So sad that this has happened to such a favorite spot to stop and grab the rarest of the rare in NYC...a deep dish pizza. Yes, DEEP is a round lasagna but despite a life time of love for NYC style, emmetts is a guilty pleasure. Until yesterday. Called in my usual mid-size deep dish cheese and told to pick up in 20 mins. HMMM...that was the first sign. When has a REAL deep dish pizza been ready in 20. Well, I got there in 30 and YES, it was ready. Or so I thought. Got home to find a dense pile of uncooked cheese on a thick goey "crust" with none of the usual fluffy joy or the DEEP part of the DEEP DISH experience. Tasted like a rubber foot. Sent a message directly...no response. So it seemed like a good idea to share here. Just so sad that a favorite of mine for years has gone the route of so many POST COVID NY restaurants...fast and efficient...MOVE EM OUT. Who cares if we never come back.

Easily the best Chicago-style deep dish pizza outside of the Windy City. I enjoyed the meat lover and Gabe Froman (a play on Forest Bueller's sausage king). If you're have a sommlier's wine palate with a chill personality, this place is for you. Good for dates but seating is limited so make a reservation to avoid waiting.

I learned about Emmett while exploring the many pizza options of NYC. Pizza has long been a staple of my diet, and this happens to be a city with an abundance of options. Now, if you're looking into Emm chances are you also heard about their deep dish offering, or perhaps you were just in the village. They have other delicious options on their menu but I'm mainly going to focus on their pizza.I tried the meat lovers deep dish, which probably took 20-30mins to reach the table. Considering the difference between thin crust and dd, it's understandable. Fresh pizza takes time to bake. Pies are served on an elevated tray and are pre cut. I'm personally relieved that I didn't order the largest size, because even the 10" was overwhelming - in a good way. The pizza had more sauce than I anticipated. I never ate pizza with a fork and knife, so it felt a bit like eating pasta! They didn't skimp on toppings thankfully, which can be an issue at some places. I found the crust to be excellent - not soggy nor hard.Aside from the pizza I really like their fries! If you go with an appetizer try them, or mozzarella sticks. My main gripe with this place is the lighting. It's dim, too dim for my liking. I totally get that's the vibe their going for. It's also very tight in the main store. Feels like there are too many tables.

I ordered the Italian beef sandwich and honestly my fat a$$ was like I forgot to tell them I wanted the ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICH not slider when I tell you looks can be deceiving or it could have been ordering while hungry the hand cut fries didn't stand a chance well seasoned crispy on the outside soft inside were inhaled I unwrapped the sandwich dipped it into the gravy and immediately walked into the next room and slapped my momma for holding out on this tenderness that I had to write a review from my hospital bed my mom didn't take it too lightly being smacked over a sandwich and although I didn't get to finish it the 3 bites were well worth the broken fingers sidebar rather than slapping your momma just get her a damn sandwich as well at least you'll get to enjoy it and she wouldn't be telling you how good it is while waiting for the ambulance to arrive ‍
