Ate at the Emmy Squared in Birmingham, AL at the Summit and it was AMAZING! We got the margherita pizza and it was fantastic. A new favorite & cannot wait to go again!
The room while beautiful has non-acoustic ceiling tiles - this makes it very loud and very tinny. We happened to be there during birthday party for a girl probably 15 - lots of high voices bouncing off the walls and ceiling. But even without this the acoustics are awful. Our waitress's new very little about the drinks on the menu, or drinks overall and didn't really know the menu that well either . My wife had a meal no one should recommend, a bowl full, really a lot, of chicken crunches - like 4 of these would be ample as appetizer but as a main - really not suitable. Last thing the pizza was DELICIOUS so that's the one good thing !

Pizza delivered cold. Ordered 10x14 came significantly smaller. Very disappointed total with tax came to be $34 after promotion . absolutely not worth it. Photos of size included.
This is rare for me.
I legitimately have no complaints.
The server Kelly was excellent! The food was fantastic, I am very happy I stopped in. Will be back!
Fabulous lunchtime experience! Our server Kelly was on point, attentive and super personable. This will be my new lunchtime go-to when I’m in the area for work. We sat outside and enjoyed the ambiance :)
Came here for a Lunch and Kelly was the best host!! She made us the best drinks and great service. Thank you so much we will definitely be back soon!!
We ended up there randomly walking. The dishwasher was broken so no dine in. They still let us order to go and eat outside at the tables. The MVP was literally the best pizza we ever had. We got a large, not regular which was a bit pricey $32 but my daughter and I ate all but three slices. It was fresh and the crust was crispy. The pesto sauce was amazing. We are so thankful to have stumbled in on this gem.
I had a good skinny margarita. I just wanted a piece of pizza but the whole pizzas seemed daunting so I got a blue cheese burger for $27. When it arrived I was aghast but I told myself to have no expectations coming here so I just said Thank you. It was a big brown plate and smothered with diabetes causing waffle fries, which I had about four out of 40. The burger had a lot of meat at least, it it was super well done— I think— as the sauce was very brown, and I could barely pick it up. I had indigestion for hours. Service was fine. With tip it was a burger, cocktail and a landslide of waffle fries for $57. I would go back for just the cocktail.
Food and service were excellent! First time coming in and I was blown away. Would definitely come again. Kelly did a great job!
No real complaints: does the job (Detroit style pizza) as advertised.
Beers weren't on tap but were from a can, which I guess is a minus (I don't think the menu mentioned this)

My daughter and I were headed to Jazz @ Lincoln Center for a 7:30 show and had a 6:00 reservation. I let the folks at the restaurant know we were under a time constraint and they could not have been more accommodating, especially when my daughter missed her train and wouldn't be arriving until 6:30. The staff went into a plan of action so that the pizza would be ready when she arrived. In the meantime I ordered a beer and salad while I waited. The beer I ordered wasn't available, and an alternative was suggested and it was comped! As 6:30 approached I was told the pizza they had made for us was cold and they were making us a fresh one. That pizza didn't arrive until 6:45, and we were seriously pressed for time. However, once again, they comped the pizza! What more could you ask for when it comes to service? And the food was spot on. I've been to a few of emmy squared locations in the Manhattan and Brooklyn, and this is the best of the bunch. Oh, and we made it to the show just as it began.
It was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it was. Everything was fantastic from proved to service to ambience. We will return for sure.
There pizza, I mean, what can I say, a big pile of dough to eat, wow. I’ve never seen so much dough in my life….except when I look down at my stomach. There toppings, (I’m vegan so…at least I thought was when I came here) the toppings….well, on to the next thing. The sauce….i brought a microscope so I could see it. It was tasty, a bit bitter but tasty. I’m guessing canned, yeah, canned tomatoes. Overall I’d rate this place a 10, no I’m kidding I can’t do that,(even though I’d love too) this place is an 8, no I’m kidding again. This place should go back to hell, you know, where it came from.
Staff was outstanding, warm and helpful. Food was excellent and a good value. Will definitely be back soon.
I've given this place multiple chances, but the inconsistency is frustrating. Sometimes, the food is great—just like the original downtown location—but other times, it's absolute garbage. They are constantly out of menu items, which makes ordering a guessing game. To make it worse, they don't even have beer on tap. Why is this place so poorly managed? It has potential, but the hit-or-miss experience makes it hard to justify coming back.
