If you’re craving something unique and seriously delicious, you have to try the Yaroa at Empanadas Monumental! This dish is absolutely loaded—layers of tender chicken, crispy fries (or sweet plantains), and topped with a creamy cheese sauce and a drizzle of house sauces that take every bite to the next level. It’s the perfect comfort food: cheesy, savory, and packed with flavor.

The portion was more than generous, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The food came out hot and fresh, and the service was friendly and fast. The vibe inside is always welcoming, whether you’re grabbing takeout or dining in.

Highly recommend stopping by and trying the Yaroa (and their empanadas too!). This spot is a real gem—once you try it, you’ll keep coming back!

This place is the worse. Workers should be fired if i was the owner and my cook disappeared for 30 minutes maybe longer and i lost 3 customers cause of it.

This was my first time trying this restaurant. The service was not good. The lady didn’t even greet me and never smiled etc. The reviews below are true. They definitely are friendlier to their own people. It’s sad and also the empanadas was a huge rip off and not what I was expecting at all.

Anne Hathaway did not spit in my food.

Can't see from the outside, but the larger empanada is filled w/ mixed seafood, & the smaller one has pork & cheese. The seafood empanada is jam-packed, but the pork & cheese is less full. Baked empanadas tend to inflate with the heat!

Pretty bad empanadas. I ordered two: one of them was mostly empty, with just the tiniest amount of filling in a corner; the other one had more filling, but it was so greasy I needed a bunch of napkins to clean the non-stop oil dripping.

Food was old, dry, not fresh. Had bigger hopes for it. Moving on…

One of the worst empanadas I've ever had in my life. The dough is gigantic and LITTLE AMOUNT OF MEAT. Definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Also, the seasoning is not a taste at all. 0/10‼️☹️

I love. This. Place. Locations all over upper Manhattan and I’ve never met an empanada there I didn’t like. The chicken and cheese is my regular order but the shredded chicken is good too. I used to not use the sauce….. I came to my senses finally and the sauce only makes it better. Go!! And tip!!!!

First order was wrong, I threw half away in the garbage because flavor was lacking. Some people shouldn't cook.

The food is good but they should give more education to the employees and that they are doing a job, it is not that we are ordering the food
