Love the atmosphere and vibe of this place. Nice for a romantic date but a little bit lousy.
The service was excellent and the food 4/5. The tomatoes 🍅 sauce for the food is amazing.
And the chocolate mousse dessert is a MOST.. 😋😋

The food was very good, especially the rigatoni alla bolognese. Atmosphere is amazing, nice spot to eat and space to work the afternoon with some good italian music in the background!

The place was recommended to us as non-tourist, for locals only with good food. It was non-tourist, locals only, GREAT food! Certainly worth trying something for less show-off, more to socialize and enjoy. Thank you guys very much, you are in my heart and bookmarks forever!

Really impressive cocktails. Feels like a high end of cocktail bar has been hidden inside a tasty Italian restaurant. Coming back for more drinks and more steak

We needed a place to wait out heavy snow and popped in here - I’m so glad we did! The staff was lovely, vibes were EXCELLENT and the drinks were great. The homemade Bloody Mary was the best I’ve ever had! We so appreciated the opportunity to be somewhere that wasn’t crazy loud and didn’t make us feel rushed. Highly recommend!

I went to this decent and pretty reasonably priced Italian spot with a group a while back. The place inside is charming, though a bit small, and our group sat on a table in the back that was slightly elevated from the rest of the restaurant. The service was alright, being friendly but a bit slow and haphazard. For instance, I got my main dish much later than everyone else, and another person's appetizer arrived at basically the same time as their entree. To drink, I had the very tasty Oreri for $17, listed as a Sardinian boulevardier with rye, Campari, Borghetti caffe liquor, and Mirto wild blueberry Sardinian liquor. The drink was delicious with a bitter-sweet flavor with a bit of light fruitiness, and I would recommend it.
My appetizer was the Burrata for $17 with farm tomatoes, toasted almonds, celery, and red onion vinaigrette. The burrata wasn't the largest piece, but it was good, with there being plenty of tomatoes. The celery and almonds added some crunch and texture, and the vinaigrette was very light. As the dressing was light, it was a little under-flavored, needing some salt if they want to keep it simple, or perhaps the obligatory balsamic glaze you see a lot on burrata. I tried a bit of the Endive Salad for $16 with avocado, orange, croutons, and a citrus vinaigrette, which was bitter, refreshing, and tasty overall. If I recall correctly, no one else got an appetizer or salad otherwise.
My main dish was the Bistecca Di Tonno for $29, listed as pan-seared tuna with spicy romesco sauce, hazelnut, and chickpeas. I ordered it rare, and the dish came out with the tuna properly seared, but it was unfortunately cold. As said, my dish came out later than everyone else, so possibly someone missed a queue. The rest of the ingredients were flavorful and worked well with the tuna, whether it was the slightly spicy and earthy romesco, the bit of crunch from the hazelnuts, or the chickpeas that retained some texture. If the tuna had been hot, it would have been much more appetizing, and I would have sent it back, but I already got my dish late, so I decided not to, or else I would have held up the rest of the meal.
I tried a bit of the Malloreddus Alla Campidanese for $21, a Sardinian gnocchetti pasta with tomato sauce, sweet Italian sausage, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. It was slightly salty, and the pasta had a unique texture and was decent overall. Another person had the Brasato, or braised short rib, which they enjoyed. Another person had the Pappardelle, which they seemed to like.
We didn't bother with dessert at the end. The food was decent, but I wouldn't rush to go back.

Came here once and had a great time and actually raved about the food. Unfortunately my last experience deters me from coming back or encouraging others to dine here.
To start, our waiter smushed a giant roach on the wall next to our table by the window and proceeded to pretend like it didn’t happen. I didn’t cause a stink because I had family visiting but that unfortunately brings an otherwise 2 star experience to a 1.
Our waiter was so unneccesarily rude to our table and tried to convince us that we didnt order something that he 100% forgot to ring in. They also allowed outside guests to smoke at the table, which caused the scent to hit our table inside.
2 apps, 4 pastas and one round of drinks ran us $300. We passed a dozen places in the area on the way home and wished we had dined there instead.

Accused us of running out on the bill when we left $200 cash. Sorry their colleagues tried to steal our money. Food was meh. Would not return.
we loved our waiter thanks for serving us outside when it was cold out. only feedback is that the honey mustard salad dressing makes the salad taste like a too sweet sandwich. pasta was perfect

Surprised this isn’t listed as the best Italian restaurant in New York because, as an Italian myself, I haven’t found yet anywhere else where to eat such delicious dishes at such a convenient price! Also, an iconic venue with 20 years of history. 100% would send my family and friends ✌️
